Seem like posts are still moving so they are working through in some weird order known only to themselves (Possibly the order that the carrier pidgeons arrive?). I expect that the emails go when the packs are loaded onto thepallets and then they all go out to UPS. I suspect it might be depot order that they are dispatched in. |

Re: N900 shipping delayed
I'mm confused, I just called up Amazon and asked her if they honor the price match guarantee for the n900 and she said that they don't ant the only way that I would receive the new price is by canceleing and reordering.
She then said that They have over 10,000 in stock at this moment and are just waiting for the item to be released, so I would receive it on the same date if I canceled. She told me she could not change the price in my account and that the people who got theirs changed were being promised things they weren't supposed to. |

I bet you that is what happened. They just totally underestimated the volume of demand and it took a while for them to switch gears and start realizing it is a star product. Have you ever been in that situation in a company where the executives think they know what they are talking about but they totally don't and they completely screw up your job because they characterize what you are doing as low priority or unimportant? Then when they finally realize what you got your hands on is important they go into the completely opposite direction and start making a big deal out of it and slow you down with extra unnecessary orders and conditions. I don't know, I'm just guessing that is what happened here. |

But if you look at their pre-order guarantee it says nothing about electronics. So officially their policy doesn't apply to electronics. CSR may be bending the rules (but that's for each individual) or if the problem is bad (e.g. they are losing customers) they may bend the rule. But officially their policy is nope, they don't do it. I guess you can keep trying till you find the lucky CSR. |

I just talked to a CS rep. (Amy) and she claimed they're receiving 5,674 units (her number quote exactly). She "assured" me that the phones have not been received by their distributor. Looks like more crossed wires and more waiting. :( |
