Amazon Uk is continuing to 'not show' the n900 on a search. My order still apparently stands.

Having slept on it, I've decided that for now I'm going to believe that Amazon reached as many pre-orders as their quota, and while they will still have devices to ship for the preorders, but they cannot get anything resembling a straight answer from nokia about when they might ever get any more. I am trying awfully hard not to believe that their sudden change of staus on the website was caused by the arrival of n900s in their warehouse last night... which would mean it might ship today ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!! No. I don't remotely believe that's even a vague, distant, faint, unrealistic possibility... No, I don't. Honest.

(I do wish they'd stop sending me advertising emails though - my heart can't stand it!)

Thats nice....finnish telecommunication company has said that they get n900 beginning of december....thats how its works on homeland of Nokia :(

Sorry but why does nokiausa.com still say "End of October 2009" ? I'm german, but still wondering. When anyone orders there, I think he'll get the message that it's "suddenly" delayed :D

Damn, I so nearly ordered from expansys, but play.com was £30 less, so I'll be in for a 3 week longer wait according to their website

I'm amazed but my Amazon order (17th Oct) is still there! And shows est delivery for 2nd November. Even though you can no longer pre-order.

Yeah I know. I call them a few times and they always tell me that they will ship 2nd week of november, it might be at the end of the second week so that correspond to november 15th as they probably do not ship on week end. I am from Canada and they don't accept order from other Country. In Canada there is no date set that's mean over 6 months or years... I bought mine from ebay that's coming from nokia usa apparently the day after they are out. Everybody is waiting desperetly for that phone

... but my current contract runs out on 18th November, so being sensible about the whole thing, it shouldn't bother me much, as I've not even got a new SIM to put in it yet.... but I want my shiny new toy!

I ordered in late August, but I was always under the impression that it wouldnt be out until late October so I guess the two weeks delay isnt that big a deal for me (more delays may be). Or it might just be I have discovered the joys of Borderlands and that keeps me busy :)

At least we are all waiting for the samething. The hype will go much higher when some people will start saying YES I HAVE MY N900 and all the others will still wondering when they will receive it because I don't think the first batch will cover most of the demand 20%, 40% and then when will be the second batch? Maybe people who place their pre order late or in mid october will wait even more

Hehe depends on where you pre-ordered it from. I imagine if you jumped onto the tail end of Amazon's preordering then yes you would have to wait. Yet if you pre-ordered it right when NewEgg posted it, once NewEgg receives their shipment whoever pre-ordered first there gets it first. (though after Nov 14th since that seems to be their ship date). I'm hoping I get it in the first batch shipment from NewEgg. >.>

Another danish shop have also just confirmed that they have it next week. Samt with 2 telephone companies.

So it looks like a release next week. In Denmark atleast :)

I hope not. I only ordered mine last week (final decision based on what you guys have written here), but I've not seen anywhere that the delay is because the demand is too high. Is it really that high at the moment? That would annoy me, as that would be shoddy product launch management by Nokia.

Amazon only takes orders for the alotted shipment they have on order so as long as they take a preorder it should be fullfilled. This is what they claim. From ordering in the past this holds true. Nokia on the other hand says its first come first serve.

I have a feeling newegg will get it earlier than the 14th. I hope i am in the first 50 people that ordered the n900 from them

If that's true, I gonna scrap my two preorders from german shops, drive the few km across the danish border and get my n900 shot from there... :mad:
