Hello,

I've been running Nokia Messaging and MFE on my E71 for several months now without any issues at all. I think this was a blip for you because these two app's are completely compatible together, and don't affect one another.

Anyone else got any thoughts, experience or insight on the matter?

Re: N900 e-mail options

The question was related to multiple contacts sync. I can also confirm that using Nokia Messaging and MfE together (on E71) is not a problem. Nokia Messaging does not have Calandar,Contacts,Tasks, only email.

Hi guys,

Could someone confirm that the N900 MfE supports the Flagging of email (with reminders) for follow-ups ?

Cheers !

Re: N900 e-mail options

So if i can't use MFE + Nokia Messaging + Nokia IM together, I could theoretically use Nokia Messaging to push my mail and Nokia Instant Messaging to sync my contacts but i won't be able to sync my calendar as this can only be done through MFE, which can't be done without causing issues on the device.

Nitchers

We are confusing syncing of Contacts/Calendar/Tasks with email here. Mail for Exchange email can coexist with Nokia Messaging.
Nokia Messaging does not handle Contacts/Calendar/Tasks.

In MfE you can select what you want to synced individually, ie you can disable contacts if you like.

I'm not clear on how IM is handled but then this was an e-mail thread :-)

@ mikec,
Can I assume we can use 1 piece of software to sync outlook emails, calendar, contacts and tasks. (Not from an Exchange server, just from a client PC).
Unless I've missed a message, nothing explicitly says you can do them all at once (like MS ActiveSync).

Re: N900 e-mail options

hey Mike and friends,

I am in the process of trying to setup nokia messaging for my gmail acct. I currently have my gmail acct setup on my phone(n900) and i just setup nokia messaging. Nokia has sent me a text message with a link which i have followed however the choices for platform that it wants me to pick are all Symbian series. Any idea what i can do to continue my installation? Can i just select one of the symbian links that closesly matches maemo (even tho maemo is totally different, wishful thinking)? When initially setting up nokia messaging, it did have an n900 as a phone choice so it just seems odd that "maemo isn't an option later on during this setup. Anyways, any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Sweet!! Looks like i got my answer from this post:
