Re: VLC Player Officially coming

Whow, finally a player wich lets me chose between 2 audio lines. Works really perfect on my xvid files without any lag!

Edit: VLC is using 100% CPU all the time during xvid playback (I've overclocked with titan's ideal kernel @ 850Mhz). The phone does also get pretty warm, battery is fading away.

i have some .mkv-files with multiple audio-streams (2 languages)

can you switch between them with VLC on the n900?

Try pressing "B". Changing audio streams in xvid files works great this way, so i guess it'll also work on mkv's

Yes it's working with .mkvs too.
But my N900 is not able to play 720 or 1080p .mkv's. So I need to convert it anyway.

I don't know where you guys are getting all these positive results... even the CLI VLC runs gawd aweful for me... even compared to the default media player.

Am I missing something?

When will this app get finished as in retail release? I know it's free and all, but how long? It looks like it's going to be an amazing player already!

Yes it does.. Works rather well with the lower bitrate ones. Struggles a bit with higher bitrates however..
