A faster processor does not mean it would be more stable with the same OS.



While I don't know much about the software changes I can say Tools-->Control Panel-->Device-->About product said OS 2007.

If the device as a whole is smaller, what about the screen itself? Is the bevel just shrunk, or is the screen itself physically smaller?

Although it's a lovely screen in the 770, I'd prefer it to be bigger so that more useful information could be contained at a readable font size. Not smaller (although the advantages to pocketability are obvious).

I see, fair enough. :D It would have made sense to be able to rotate the camera, but oh well. As for images being upside down on rotation, that could be solved using a simple transition of the camera view via hardware/software switch to capture images/video correctly.

Still no updates on the FCC filings. I wait impatiently.

Actually, they ARE being recorded correctly as far as the camera is concerned. If you pretend to be a camera, and pan your view 180 degrees (across the ceiling, etc) you'll be seeing things upside down. ;)

It does open up a few possibilities. Apart from the commercial appeal and the effect on sales, the camera will probably encourage someone to write a (very very lightweight) image editor for Maemo...because once you've got a few instant pictures, you will want to clean them up a little and make minor adjustments, crop them, etc.

In my opinion someone hasn't played with it enough.

I wrote that post too quickly. I didn't want to mean that a faster processor means more stability.

Just saying that I'd prefer a more stable machine, with less crashes etc. to this totally new one. I do not like the new design too much, nor I care about the camera: if we can install OS2007 I won't go with the new tablet *despite* I would like that little more horsepower that (maybe, at this point) it has, too much cons for me agains that unique pro.
