a problem with the gobbryfux
 

My inside contact at Nokia has let me know, off the record, that the big problem at the moment is in the N900's gobbryfux.

Nokia engineers are working day and night to resolve this. They have openly expressed regret at a design decision that appeared sound at the time and could have been a unique selling point for the N900 compared to similar devices.

The gobbryfux is a beta test of a new social and business networking system that continuously scans internet traffic and extracts the contact information of people with incredibly similar interests, adding them to each others' contact list automatically.

The gobbryfux was installed on all pre-production models and found to work very succesfully, without most users realising it. Now that they have put it on a lot more devices, they find out that gobbryfux frequently crashes the N900 due to the sheer weight of traffic.

The developers wanted to test the gobbryfux with a very specialised target group and then, if succesfull, expand the groupage with a simple software update.

Unfortunately they chose "delivery of orders using the n900 in the maritime industry".

If they'd just been more open about the bug upfront I have every confidence that we'd have had a community based gobbryfux++ by now.

My question is, how many users actually use the gobbryfux anyway? I mean, just because the iphone has one... Are there any stats for it? It's so 1990s - I never use it myself. Haven't used it for years. I don't even know if my current phone has a working gobbryfux.

We all know that the company behind gobbryfux is evil and their true goal is world domination and to brainwash everybody!

I think it's really a shame that Nokia delayed the N900 because they wanted a piece of that pie and were basically selling out all of us...
