Who's excited about the NEXT RELEASE of N920? I sure don't after having experience what have gone through with this N900 with delay after delay after delay. Waiting for a NOKIA phone to be released is like waiting for eternity.

Re: OPK: N900 deliveries have now started!!

I just called nokiausa to ask where my order was since I see they have a pre-auth on the full amount and she said its being prepared for shipment. Im hoping to get some kinda tracking today. i also got an email telling me this friday.I hope the preparing part isnt just a stall to hold my money or i'll be pissed because they wont refund me now.

I also called NOKIA USA about my September 24th preorder. They said that the "released for shipment" email I received on Saturday meant that the phone was in a Fedex package waiting to be picked up and that I should expect a tracking number later today.

I am happy for anyone who has received their phones but it upsets me that I bought into the NOKIA USA BS and paid $100 extra to have my phone shipped after preordeders from Dell over a month later.

I also got an email stating Dell shipping my N900 on 22Nov (yesterday). With ground shipping estimated delivery is 25Nov. I suspect I'll get it by then because the holiday usually helps UPS deliveries arrive on time in my experience.

To the people complaining about delay after delay, it hasn't really been like that. It might seem that way if you are checking every hour of every day, but in reality Nokia hasn't done that bad of a job. Sure, not perfect, but the only delay has been from Oct to Nov (in USA). Now it is Nov and shipments have already started.

I understand if someone is leaving the country and needs an exact day, but situations like that are not Nokia's fault are they?

Anyway, I hope everyone receives their N900 soon!

For people that cannot wait, I bet there are people here that would give up their N900 to someone in a tight situation (leaving country, etc.). At the most, that would mean a few more weeks of waiting for a new order to arrive. Some of us have patience ;)

This ordering experience prove Amazon SUCKS compare to Dell. Next time, i will order from Dell. Amazon is losing its customers if there is another time.

Why did the pre-order button disappear from NokiaUSA's website?

xitrum 2009-11-23 16:00

Amazon.com (Nokia N900)

I saw in another guy post saying that his package shipment changed to "Preparing for Shipment" on Amazon.com . Just wonder if anyone has this. I preordered on Nov. 5th . Can't believe some guy order from Dell last week got his shipped already T_T .

Re: OPK: N900 deliveries have now started!!

Well called Dell - asked them why my order which was placed before several of the ones that have already gotten shipping notification wasnt processed yet. The woman said that it was meant to be first come first serve and that currently they show the N900 as out of stock.

So yeah thats awesome

Amazon USA has the phones in their warehouses and they are preparing for shipment, according to agent Matt in the cell phone dept. I just called over there to get an update. But they are not showing up yet as ready for shipment. He didn't know when they would actually ship. Also, didn't know how many units they had in stock.

Really? Amazon sucks because Dell may not have even actually shipped anything? (Or if they have, just today)

If Amazon doesn't ship this week, that might be a reasonable statement.

Hi, just to confirm my french N900 has been delivered today and it's working properly.

Packaging was really poor though. The big parcel only contained the small black n900 case without any protection. This is really cheap!

I think I'll be now heading to the first impression thread. See you soon ;)

I ordered my Nokia in Poland from nokia.pl and just got an e-mail that it has been sent. However, I am confused by UPS tracking information - it says that it shipped today from Rotterdam (NL) to... Helsinki (FI) while I am in Warsaw (PL).

I called Amazon help and talked to Mohammed. He transfered me to the "cell phone dept" and Matt took my call. (His name is Matthew Kelley, according to email I just got from Amazon feedback)

I asked to speak with Tanesha (who others on this forum have talked to) and he didn't know who she was. Said it was a big company w/ many offices.

I could hear him checking the status with his computer. So it sounded like what he was telling me was legit. Sounded like the N900's had just arrived at Amazon, but were not officially "in stock" yet, because the orders hadn't been readied.

UPS messed up my delivery today :(
Called them and my package has been missed for some reason and is still in its way. After calling em after 6PM (they answered!), the person was very nice and he promised that the package will come tomorrow.

Just noticed change in UPS tracking system "Exception", Rescheduled Delivery Date:24/11/2009

Just gotta wait 1 more day...

Weird things happen sometimes, you might have gotten the wrong tracking no. I´ve got a shipment that´s been going from Ohio to me for 7 days now. Maybe I got the wrong code, or the package it making one hell of a ride.

7 days ago it left location in Ohio.
6 days ago it was in Charlotte NC (250km / 180mi from me)
4 days ago it was in Greensboro NC (160km / 100mi from me)
Today it is in Kansas about 900 mi / 1450 km from me.

So who knows....

Still had to post the proof picture of the delivery so here it is.

I messed up the installation of a screenprotector (2 times) so I'm awaiting delivery of a couple of new screenprotectors. This where durasec and they just didn't really work for me. I now ordered the other ones :P

The first one went ok but got some air trapped and used the second one because I had a second one but I placed that one wrong a couple of times. After a couple of times messing around I used the first one again but it had some dust on the sticky side.

I ended up cutting the screenprotector too because it's one ore 2 millimeters to big. Hoping for a better result with the new ones at least the ability to do a test fit first.

Re: OPK: N900 deliveries have now started!!

This is interesting. I placed an order with AmazonUS the other day for $549.99 and free 5-7 day shipping. Figured I would have a better chance of getting it before the rebate expired if I changed it to 2-day shipping. I did, and now it is showing a price of $529.99 + $11.38 shipping for a total of $541.37. So it looks like I will get it faster and cheaper than before! WOOT!

Just got off the phone from a 30 minute call from 1 866 59 NOKIA agent who claimed to be a supervisor. I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said she was a supervisor and my call could not be escalated higher. She said that since that there was no tracking number associated with my order it was not likely to ship before Wednesday. She later admitted that NOKIA USA was not shipping preorder N900s.

Thats some BS right there if thats true. They wont let me cancel my order because they have already pre authorized the full amount and said my phone has been relased to shipping, still no tracking. Im beginning to think they are doing this to prevent people from bailing. someone needs to find out whats going on here.
