Is there settings to be able to type lower case characters from hw keyboard?
Is it planned to hide virtual keyboard when hw keyboard is used? |

- This just hides the virtual keyboard completely. This should be tied to the slide mechanism. When slide is open virtual keyboard is hidden. When it is closed it is shown. |

Re: Sygic announces world-wide turn-by-turn navigation for Maemo
What me (and I bet a gazillion more people...) are waiting to know is: How does it perform when navigating?
Lately Nokia devices have been laggy when Navigating (i.e. The position on the map is always several meters behind the actual position). This is more noticeable when driving slow inside the town and is enough bad that you will miss your turn. How is the performance while driving? Anyone? |
Re: Sygic announces world-wide turn-by-turn navigation for Maemo
OK, guys can someone post pic confirming:
a) Full Screen mode working, and why the hell it's been turned off, does it cause any problems then? b) SpeedCameras alerts, is it bundled with the license? What about further updates, how often it needs to be renewed and paid again? Thanks:) |

Re: Sygic announces world-wide turn-by-turn navigation for Maemo

Re: Sygic announces world-wide turn-by-turn navigation for Maemo
@spag: thanks, but does it show the distance descending to the speed camera in front of you? Another words, how does it warn you about one?

Re: Sygic announces world-wide turn-by-turn navigation for Maemo

Re: Sygic announces world-wide turn-by-turn navigation for Maemo
As i asked some pages ago.. How does it work if you're have to turn in or right after a tunnel? My tomtom warns me before i drive into the tunnel. Someone?

You can also define the distance to the radar before the warning is issued |

Offtop: Seems like Sygic rocks, they actually ported it within 3 month. So shame on Nokia, the company that huge, yet slow and irresponsible. |

For some reason there might be 2 showmsg lines, and the other one is still true, delete that one

Firstly, you come on here and make a comment that is neither helpful or amusing and in fact does nothing but insult people who have bought this product. Secondly, if your financial situation restricts you from buying then you are wise not to, however some people may not be in the same position and find the price value for money, therefore they are not "bloody stupid"... Thirdly, you confirm your idiocracy by your juvenile statement above - I am a 42 year old married man with children. it is neither practical nor possible for me to "live at home with mummy" especially as she is no longer with us. Idiot! |
Re: Sygic announces world-wide turn-by-turn navigation for Maemo

Re: Sygic announces world-wide turn-by-turn navigation for Maemo
Now , with Sygic on the 5800 I`ve downloaded custom mp3 files for the speed cameras warnings ( instead of beeping, I`ve replaced the beep sound of the 30,40,50,60,70 mile warnings with actual voices saying 'thirty,fourty,.....' instead).I then went into the POI settings and manually replaced the beep sound with the mp3s.Can we do the same here? Can anyone check this?

....also, what format extension are the maemo maps?Just to see if they are compatible with Symbian.Sygic says otherwise but I don`t believe them :)
If they are .mlm files I bet they are compatible! |
