mytube and mplayer distorted video flv (solved)

Hi I have? Mytube installed and it was working great until this morning. Now when ever I try and play videos they are horribly distorted with a just a small distorted video appearing in the top left corner of the screen on a green background. The problem seems to be an Mplayer one as I get the same result if I try and play the .flv files directly in Mplayer. Strangely enough youtube files play in media box using the youtube plugin, but not in full screen mode. If I try full screen I get the distortion described above. Any ideas?

In Mytube>preferences>more>mplayer I added the -vo xv option and now it works perfectly!

Hey, can anyone tell me how/if you login to mytube? The three buttons on the right are greyed out??

Thanks, all!

Mike

I may be wrong, but I thought that you must first register at YouTube to get a username and password. Then use that in MyTube.

On a related note. I 'd like a way to delete the files mtube stores in the .cache directory without resorting to the terminal.

Install the file manager called "emelfm2" then go tp the top directory by continuously hitting the "up arrow" icon at the top of the screen. Next, double click on "Media" then double click on either "mmc1/" or "mmc2/" (which ever memory card that is storing your "cache" directory. Once you highlight that directory just click the trash can icon to delete it.

Thanks Den. I was thinking more along the lines of Mtube cleaning up it's own cache. A button perhaps. :-)

Nice, if complex, app that fails to show invisible directories by default and apparently has no obvious means of changing that.
