any c++ command line progam portable?

Hi all,

what about porting c++ or c CLI* aps (with no dependencies) to maemo?
Is this always possible? Do any limits exist?

I would really like to see maxima on N900, unfortunately it based on lisp. :/ But maybe this is another topic...

most of linux apps are either c or c++ - as long as you satisfy depedencies and system requirements (like memory size), it will be most probably possible

Inside of Easy Debian on my n810 I just installed the lenny version of maxima. It seems to be running just fine. I don't think debian lenny knows anything about Maemo. And I can compile right on the device.

You're good to go.
