Re: What's your job?

My business card says 'Principal Systems Architect', in practice I'm the senior infrastructure engineer for the managed hosting services division of a certain East Yorkshire telco. I have a team of 4 guys to make me look good!

Translates as: build and fiddle with relatively large scale implementations of E-Mail, DNS and web hosting platforms, plus the usual gammut of bespoke front-end and back office systems that go with it. Python coder both at work and at play - hate perl, can't remember enough C to save my life - and contributor to 2 or 3 Python-based open source projects.

And I really should be finishing off my powerpoint slides for the 2 3-hour training sessions I'm supposed to be delivering tomorrow, rather than frittering my bandwidth away here. :D
