Thanks again Steve :D!

Was just wondering why to people prefer T Mobile over Vodafone..
is it the Pricing, Service or the Fair Usage Policy?
I ordered mine with Vodafone 12 Months Contract @ £44 + Upfront Cost which was £64.99. Vodafone site states Fair usage policy as 500mb / day.

Voda's fair usage is currently 3GB/month on a monthly contract.

500Mb/day is for a different sort of contract.

Pick up will be available after pre-orders has been dispatched as we will set order priority according to date of order has been made. If you want to pick up your pre-order from the store, you will have to go to one of the stores at Salisbury, Winchester, Reading or Newbury. If it is going to be a new order, you will have to wait until next week.

Isn't that enough?.. and what about t-mobile. only thing i am expecting from vodafone is good service, as i haven't used it before.

It's enough for most people. T-mobiles's is similar.

I think people are going for T-mobile because they've had a better reputation for 3G data coverage, but YMMV.

Just for confirmation I spoke to Nokia twice today. Again at the regent street store and Nokia.co.uk both said that other retailers are allowed (by agreement) to use their brand/brand likeness

But both confirmed that if either were part of Nokia they would receive and dispatch the devices the same time as NOKIA

As they would have access to the same stock!!! And Shipping agreements!!!

BTW Carphonewarehouse &phones4U are both expecting delivery early Dec? Perhaps the 3rd?

what is your source for the carphonewarehouse and phones4u info

Nokia UK got it already :/
And about stores MPD Operates the Nokia Retail Stores in UK besides the London Flagship Store which is operated by Nokia itself.

I guess the London flagship store is the only one to get it in stock soon.
While MPD Online customers who preordered should get it before any other Nokia Retail Store..

I am not aloud to say anything about deals but as far as I know for a quite while (couple of months) only deals will be available on Vodafone.

Hi. I ordered at the start of October when Tmobile contracts were available. I take it that's not going to cause any issues? Cheers

As headsets comes from abroad, it will come directly to Salisbur which makes no difference because priority will be given to online pre-orders. We get it from Nokia itself, not from www.nokia.co.uk.

Most likely no.

But is there anything I have to do? I rather get things sorted and not have my order held up for any reason. Thanks for the info here though, much appreciated.

Again as far as I know , it will be the same deal as your first choice (mins, texts, web, etc...) but only the price will change. Then again there is also another rumour that orders that has been made before it has been removed from the web site will keep the same deals from different provider and there will be no difference on the deals-price, but the provider. Unless they dont send you an e-mail about the subject, there will be no problem and most likely they will inform you at one point, before or after the dispatch. Thank you.

Again I am completely lost as to what you are referring to, what price has changed, can you please explain?

Surely once you have agreed to a contract and the credit check has passed, NOTHING can change?

Basically, if you have paid for T-Mobile unless you dont want to wait till T-Mobile offers to start again you can pay for the price difference and use Vodafone. And another rumour is around, you can use Vodafone and pay the same amount that you were supposed to pay to T-Mobile. I hope this helps, if any questions please feel free to ask.

If the timeline posted previously by someone else is anything to go by, then I wouldn't think so.. I would say Wednesday (assuming you chose Express delivery)..

Personally I'm hoping for tomorrow, but am not holding my breath,,

Steve.

I am even more confused as everyone who asked MPD about the change were told if you ordered T-Mobile you will get T-Mobile, it was removed because the order quota was hit. Is this not the case?

Also when I myself rang MPD I was told the contract with T-Mobile is confirmed as accepted once I passed the credit check, but does not start until the phone is shipped. That would rather imply if you ordered T-Mobile, you will get T-Mobile.

It wouldn't kill me if I ended up on Voda (unless there is a huge difference in price/minutes), as I was planning to use my O2 SIM for the remainder if its contract then put in my existing T-Mobile SIM in there after that. But the idea that the contract I agreed to has been withdrawn is news to me, many people have been told otherwise.

It is just this phone, I was looking at forums and as I realized no one had any idea about what they were saying, I thought little of help would not hurt. Also yes I am who I say I am :D. If you call Guildford Nokia Retail Shop after 12.30 I will be around.

I'm not expecting to get mine until Thursday or Friday.
Not using Express.

Just a thought there'll be serveral UPS planes full of N900s flying over tomorrow makes me happy.

The best deal so far I found that is similar to the T-Mobile deal is this:

Nokia N900 (18 months Contract)
£30/month
300 Minutes
Unlimited Texts
Unlimited Mobile Web

Phone = £25

I am quite sure that will not going to happen. T-Mobile removed their deals from the phone (no idea why, may be there was a bidding between T-Mobile-Vodafone ).

It would seem a bit odd with all this time to waste, that MPD would not get us to agree to new contracts BEFORE shipping is taking place. It sounds like most people ordered T-Mobile so it could cause yet another delay and would be incredibly unprofessional.
