The exception is described as 'UPS Internal Activity'. If they've all sat down for a cup of tea, and consider this valid reason for changing the delivery date, I shall complain to nokia. I paid £10 for '1-3 day delivery'. Amazon charge £5 for guaranteed next day before 1pm - and they hit the mark. UPS seems to be a weak link in the chain.

I've just today jumped ship from play.com to nokia - £40 more, but the play.com 30/12/09 new release date was the final straw.
But my guess is it will stay as 'preorder' until they've shipped all preorders with stock to spare.

Call up Nokia and say your previous order was decline by the bank and you've been told to re-order again, tell them to add the 15% code. Shouldn't be a problem.

If they ask for previous order number, said you've discarded the email or hang up and call again.

Come on Nokia UK just because I didn't pay for express shipping!
On the plus side I just got an email telling me I have got £1m being held for me by FEDEX Nigeria. All I have to do is give them all my bank details.

Mine was placed 20/10/09 10:20 so not in any order as I still have no shipping email.

That could be expected, actually. What a bigger BS is that MPD is still advertising as the ones to have so-called "exclusive" availability. :| I still have that email from them somewhere which say they are going to be the first to get UK stock of N900.

I think they've dispatched the 'express' ones first. Which would, after all, only be fair. Not that 'nokia' and 'fair' have been very close in much of this process.

Edit, no Dave, they're all stuck either in Rotterdam or the Hague.

nokia or someone is bulls%tting people!!!!here in nokialand the n900 is for sale next week and the news say that it already went out of stock here and shops get them next week i mean all the shops.....so in other words they got them in ports/stocks and just start to sell them next week and let the people wait and go nuts:mad:

That's all very well, Venomrush - but most of the n900s seem

a) to have been sent to UPS just after 4pm

b) to be caught in an 'exception' which seems to give UPS the right to change the delivery date for any reason they choose (currently an internal UPS event - tea break?)

Hi guys I got some good(ish) informations for orders on MPD, I went down to Regent Street today and I asked them about everything they even showed me a demo of the phone (i loved it!!!) :D apparently they were expecting to get it to their stocks on thursday and they are expecting delay but only couple of nokia retail stores ll have it thn, it will be available at the other stores on the beginning of the next week and everyone is going to get their phone next week for def. Also i asked her about T-Mobile and Vodafone, she said it is only available as vodafone!!! i didnt ask whats gonna happen to ppl who ordered T-mobile though! and priority will be given to people who ordered first from internet!

I guess at the end of the day Steve was right...
