EDIT: To clarify, I am interested in how Nokia UK handled this issue. In Sweden Nokia decided to not deliver any phones until they could be shipped with the 3 sim-bug fixed.

I'm running O2 so the wonderful speed will be crippled anytime I'm near London due to iPhone saturation. Orange users will get this soon as they are now running iPhone too.

I beleive that the problem with some of the newer 3 simm cards was that Hutchinson were using a feature that none of the others were hence why only an issue for them at present. I suspect this will need to be fixed for the other networks later though.

I have a UK 3 SIM card (& a T Mobile SIM card), I shall check how well (if at all) the 3 SIM card works in the device & let you/anyone else interested know if there were any problems etc.

However, in the meantime, you may also want to see this link (if you haven't done so already)...

A long as it hasn't picked up any Dutch Young Ladies. I ain't giving free B&B to stowaways.

Edit should I take it as a good omen that EastEnders has just played the nokia tune?

I don't mind doing a 4 hours round trip to the Midlands if I could pick it up at the sorting centre tonight...

Perhaps use the poorly working Ovi maps on the way back and hope I won't get lost.

Thanks. I'm aware of the bug. Just wondered how Nokia acted in the UK, if they shipped the devices w/o the bugfix installed regardless of what operator you have. I take it the answer is yes. :)

Origin scan just means its barcode on the shipping box was scanned pre-transit.
http://wwwapps.ups.com/WebTracking/track?loc=en_GB
Now, who thinks it will arrive next day? Had lost of experience with UPS (work uses them) but nothing international. Anyone ?

Its not. I declare this thread re-open to N900 delivery discussion.

[theupsstores is a large franchise in america. check google]
[packagemapping.com has no negative feedback in google either]

Security-wise.. to use that tracking number for anything they would need full delivery address, which you would need Nokia's Preferred login for the ups website to bring up the full address. Then to call UPS with Nokia's Customer Password and ask a UPS agent to re-arrange delivery.

IF a webpage asks you for tracking number AND address then exit out of that. (or any other piece of information)

Apparently I'm now the 'newbie' who posted the packagemapping.com site

http://packagemapping.com is fine, it's not fraud.
Give some evidence before you said so.

I'm tracking there, reference number provided @ packagemapping.com matches my Nokia order number (CNL######), on UPS main tracking page this information is not even shown, so definately legit.

It's nice to be trusted... If you have any fear of the addy I gave, do this instead :

Go to www.ups.com
Select your location (USA-English is what I use)
In the top right type 'theupsstore tracking' and click the search button
In the results list select the second result titled 'The UPS Store : Track Shipped Packages'
This brings you to the same link I provided, just via the UPS site.

You get your tracking history, expected delivery date, etc.
You can also tell it to e-mail you a short message when the item is delivered, just in case the delivery driver decides to have your N900, or delivers to an incorrect address.

If u want to stop spamming F5 on the tracking page. Or will be out tomorrow but know someone will be home to pickup and want status updates without bugging them.

Send an SMS to 07801041036 with;

UPS [Tracking Number]

ex: UPS 1Z2353245PD234262

This will send an SMS to your phone with each update and is a free service provided by UPS. To stop cries of foulplay more imformation can be found at http://www.ups.com/content/gb/en/tra...?WT.svl=SubNav

I'm using an iPhone app called Deliveries, does that count as fraud?

Boy time to say goodbye to this iPhone 3GS soon..given it to my mother.

I'm trying to figure out a way to transfer all the stuff from iPhone -> N900
Hopefully, make a guide, help to convert iPhone users to N900 xD

I had the strangest day at work today. We had too many phone calls about N900 and the forum. I am one of the two Steve's at work, other Steve works at the counter. We have been asked if we "released" any information out. I was trying to remove question marks on peoples head. We have got yelled at because apparently one of us gave information under the name of "Nokia Retail" which was not true. In every single post I did not use Retail Stores name particularly as a reference. Now everything is ok. But please do not call in and ask for me or do not say Steve said this, Steve said that. Even a guy came to find me to thank ( I know because he was saying if he is real and telling the truth I want to thank him personally), but we had to say someone is lying under using our name.

Thank you guys for defending me.

For those who does not believe me, just wait and see. As I said I am not sure about T-Mobile Vodafone thing, we will see. But no one is getting their phone from Nokia Retail this week.

Steve, (Nearly the ex) G. Nokia Retail Store worker.

Just spoke to my delivery driver today (who drops UPS packages at my work address) He said the shipments that have left nokia today will be delivered to the UK tonight but will not make deliverys tomorrow i.e Wednesday. Our delivery dates will most likely be Thursday. As soon as the the phones touch down in customs he said the tracking page will be updated there will be an estimated delivery day :-) He said Express delivery has priority and as a SLA they try to get them delivered within 2. Eitherway looks like UPS will be busy busy

Express deliverys should get them tomorrow.

Very nice that you're actually putting the effort in to keep us up to date! It wasn't very clever of who ever disclosed your name to MPD but oh well you get the occasional incident.

However, thank you very much for letting us know about what's happening, it is actually nice knowing what is happening with your order rather than talking to MPD employees from the phone and hearing the same uncertain answers time and again. It also helps keep us at bay yarrgh!!

I am so hoping n900 will wave to me from East Mids airport before bedtime. Or rather, UPS will say it has landed safely (returning its seat to upright, fastening its safety-belt and putting its tray away). I hope it has has a good flight. Mind, I don't like to think of it there in a big dark hangar all night. I suppose it does have all your n900s with it to keep it company...

I see it as a bunch of circuits ready for my command ;-)
