How nicely does your HTC fit in your pocket?

To be honest with you, if I could get my 19 inch monitor in my pocket, I would rather carry that about than this nightmare with its measly screen of only 3 1/2" and a keyboard so tiny its hard to see, so to be honest with you, if push comes to shove, the damn thing is too small, now if I was the size of an elephant my pockets would be correspondingly large and would contain my PC warts and all, then my only problem would be getting in my front door.

Like my pocket PC is 4.3 x 2.3" and only just fits in the top pocket of my denim jacket, I doubt your HTC would fit in my pocket being that it is 4.7 x 2.6" so you win because yours is bigger than mine.

How comfortable are you with the fact that you buy this HTC with your hard earned dollar and you are not allowed to know how it works, because Mr Gates had the end of his willy chopped off, so he could be the richest man on the planet to compensate for his lack of willy end, well perhaps you do not know what source code actually is, so you can probably be forgiven.

quite possibly - by the sounds of it nokia have withheld deliveries, so probably all sitting in a warehouse around here.....

Looks like at somepoint this week deliveries will goto hopefully pre-order'ers first and then to the shops at the end of the week. So maybe from late this week or early next week it will be full available... (But it's all a big beautiful guess :) )

From my understanding: NO.

The device is exclusive to Nokia Online Shop, MobilePhonesDirect & Nokia Flagship Stores in the UK until early January 2010.

A guy from a Mobile Phones Direct store replied to my email today saying that they should have stock for sale at the end of the week. No guarantees I guess and the stress may be on "should".

I believe it is on general sale in the flagship store on the 4th. not sure about elsewhere though.

That is no improvement to their email stating 4th Dec
If NFS are shipping contract orders (through mpd) on Mon, then Im expecting MPD to be shipping Mon/Tue as stated via their exclusive and first statements

Got the call from Jon at NFS this morning, saying I can go and pic up my pre order on contract tomorrow, horay!!

was going to get it delivered, or does anyone know of parking close to the store?

Mine still hasn't arrived after ordering in mid October via shop.nokia.co.uk.
I'd hoped to take it to a work conference the past week where I could have shown them how managers could sign PDF files (eg. invoices) via Anidel's Xournal and save and print it off. Talking about it isn't as good as a demo...

Then Friday had an iPhone-toting person come by who's been asking me for the past month when I'll get the N900 so he can check it out.

not as far as i know try checking the MPD pages http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...&highlight=MPD

i think those who ordered from NFS on contract (MPD) get there phones from the stock that NFS get as apposed to MPD directly who will in turn have there own stock and will be dispacthing from that.

I'd like to buy a N900 with QWERTY layout but I'm living in Germany.
Do you know any UK online shop which claims to have it in stock before January
and which could ship to Germany? So far I could only find the German branch of

Mobilephonesdirect and the nokia flagship stores both plan to sell contract phones this week. You can buy sim free from nokia.co.uk already.

Nokia shop: "Where do you deliver?
We deliver in the UK mainland. We are not able to deliver to VAT-free areas such as the Channel Islands, Jersey, Guernsey or Ireland, or to PO Box addresses, hotels, hostels or army barracks outside the UK."

Sorry, was only answering your question.... The warranty if you buy here will be for here only, so the best way is to have a friend over here who can forward it on, who you can also return it back to if it is faulty :(

I think the general consensus/rumours are that other places will not get them in until after xmas - i'd like to be proven wrong for your sake, if so (Amazon.co.uk, play.com, expansys have all advertised the phone)

Hi everyone - was just wondering if anyone who bought on contract at NFS has been given an update? I know a few people were coerced into signging contracts by Jon there... (that might not be his name, but I think it was!), but as people have picked their SIM-free pre-orders up already and they'd said today would be shipping day for contracts, I'm just curious...

I ordered mine on a Voda contract from the NFS on 21st November. Just picked it up this morning from the store.

John at the stored called yesterday asking me to come in and pick it up... The shop seemed fairly busy with collections so I guess they're getting them all out now.

I just walked into the shop on the 21st and ordered it. I think MPD broker all the Vodafone contracts for Nokia so am assuming it was done through them behind the scenes. Haven't looked in the bag yet so not sure of what paperwork there is. Will update later on when I get to have a play ;)

BTW got the free bluetooth headphones as well which is pretty good. Assuming everyone from the NFS is getting these?

Opened it up - no mention of MBP on the paperwork received with the phone... It's just the Vodafone order statement, sim card and then some scraps about my PAC code.
