Yes, I'm hoping the second batch has corrected the mic issue! I'm still hoping for this Friday. I went for express delivery.

I was so excited to get an email from Nokia this morning...but this is what it said:
"Hi,

In a random act of kindness, we’ve set you up a Nokia Music Store account that’s ready to be credited with 5 free tracks - that’s almost half an album! "

I would rather have my N900!!!!!!

Not good for you I know, but a bit promising for the rest of us. If you ordered on 22nd and it was out for delivery yesterday, that's means my order on the 24th should be out by Friday... Or am I being optimistic?

Last I spoke to them (yesterday), I got a very curt reply saying "still no idea".

I'm starting to wonder if this phone really exists or if it's just a massive mirage.

If there was a Nokia store near me, I'd be there checking it's real. I'm tempted to get on my bike and go next week if shop.nokia let me down, even if it means going down to London.

Well good and bad news.

Good news is I received the delivery.

Bad news is they didn't ring the doorbell, and it was luck that i heard a faint knock and saw them through the door. Maybe they ARE stealing them and selling them on eBay :(

Anyway, testing out my first ever touch screen phone now.

I wish everyone good luck, it is SO frustrating. At least I'll have it for my trip to Egypt next weekend (switched from dark and cold Iceland). If I get it all working well, I'll be posting pictures to flickr everyday while I'm out there.

I just phoned my bank, and they told me the payment had been authorised and taken out. I was so excited I forgot to ask exactly when it was taken out! Still no shipping info though.

I paid with a company credit card, billing address was different to shipping address and had no problems with card authorization.

Looks like what I had been previously told by the NOS staff was true. The N900 stock was received today and I received a stock notification e-mail from Nokia about an hour ago. Just rang them up to confirm and my transaction has passed verification. Just awaiting the shipping and tracking information. Since its via UPS hopefully I will receive it tomorrow or on Friday. At least now there is no need to go to the flagship store in Regent Street. Good luck to the rest of you. Hope it works out well. :)

It may be different outside London. Give them a call and ask for the delivery day. It should say on the tracking site, otherwise you lose a day's work.

What bank/card company did you use spanner? Was it Abbey by any chance?

I'm in the exact same position as you I'm afraid. This was my second order (re-order), and I got the dreaded Abbey automated security check phone call this morning, after which, I got the dreaded Nokia cancellation email again!

My original pre-order was mid-October, and constantly being pushed at the back of the queue, each time. :(

Was a LloydsTSB Mastercard. Rang them up, had a go at them, they said there was nothing I could do to prevent it happening again (useless tossers). So I put the next order on a Visa debit card. Fingers crossed.
