No, I reckon that's just a stock email they send out and they haven't bothered to change the info to reflect the fact they haven't actually got the N900 yet. I just checked my order with them and it still states 'pending stock'.

I just spoken with Nokia, they say that my order should be shipped today and that I will receive and email once shipped...

Let's remember Nokia work until 17:00 hrs, I have no idea what time the cut of point is for them getting the orders out to the shipping company (UPS?)

The issue with PAC codes and Credit checks on networks is thatthey only last for a certain amount of time. I can't remember how long before they expire but if you preordered more than a month ago you will likely have to get you PAC code again or go through your credit check again.

I don't really know what to make of Nokia except to say the company is very badly run, especially in the marketing and logistics departments...and...

I hate it when people come on here and defend Nokia - their behaviour is indefensible (in my honest opinion) - FULL STOP!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Spoke to Nokia a couple of times today. Keep getting hit with that unacceptable word "SHOULD", trying to get something more concrete, and then for my next trick I think I'll walk on water ......

yeah, it makes you wonder how hard it is. do you have devices? yes/no, if yes then how many? do you have a list of pre-orders, draw a line that many units down. tell all the people above the line their orders WILL be shipped. all this 'tentative' gives no re-assurance at all.

Assuming I get my handset on the 4th from MPD, does my T-mobile contract with them commence on that day, or does it start when I activate it?
My O2 iPhone contract expires mid January so was wondering if I could only activate my T-Mobile contract then....

If my T-Mobile contract starts 4 Dec, I'm assuming there are no issues with porting my O2 number across in Jan?

its not looking good for us getting delivery tomorrow as i just found this on nokia UK Orders made after 1.30PM (Mon/Fri) and all day Saturday and Sunday will be dispatched the following working day.
If we dont get email confirmation in next 1 hour 10 minutes then we wont get delivery until Wednesday at the earliest.

Just called Nokia.co.uk customer services number to check on my order. I pointed out that I still had 'Not Dispatched' as the status and I had been led to believe that it was dispatching today.

The lady on the other end of the line apologetically explained that whilst today was the 'Tentative Release Date' for the N900, they didn't have stock. I didn't bother asking why I had been told at the end of last week that they were unpacking the stock ready for dispatch as no point in having a go at her.

So, mystery solved: The unpacking route is obviously via the Bremuda Triangle!!

That said, December is looking a bit optimistic now! I've been patiently waiting for the Pandora for months, but I don't expect this from Nokia.

Hey guys I ve got some bad news for who order from MPD-Nokia Retail, I just phoned them up and they said they will ship it at the end of the month and we will get it early december! :@ So basically 3rd of December is the date we are going to get it!
