It's broken. Try to get an older (1.2.4) version and try it there, but I never got it to work properly (unless you made micromovements with the mouse).

How about adding a mirror touchscreen grid layout for n800? Then the right side of the screen we will have a direct buttons, eventually it will be possible to reassign D-Pad for the other buttons, such as XYAB

Thanks. This works, but unfortunately there is a problem with the mouse calibration of the screen as well as in Dosbox

:D thank you very much. your application is brilliant, i love it. i have yet to play a emulator that is of a higher fit an finish. it just like having a super nintendo. your app was one of the major selling points for me. thanks again and your my hero lol

Is there still the copyright issue stopping drnoksnes from being in the Maemo.org repos? I see other emulators in there now.

Ah yes, I see that interestingly the button for player 2 is missing from the Fremantle GUI. I wonder why nobody noticed it :)

It's on the Diablo GUI :)

EDIT: installing drnoksnes from diablo extras devel, gonna see if that fixes the missing player 2. hmmmmmmmm no. cant even set player 1 controls wtf

You're a couple of months late :). The above information and repository are outdated. The files in the mentioned repository are three months old and newer ones can be found in the almost too much advertised -devel repository which you should not be using either, if you don't know what you're doing.

Just thought your post might cause confusion among new users (or those who don't read entire threads;).

I've always though SNES games and GBA games should play better on the N900 seeing as how my G1 played both flawlessly

It's all down to plain OS and CPU optimization. My old nokia 6120C could handle GBA/SNES/Genesis emulation perfectly so it's only a matter of time.

Or just different emulators :D I was using VBAG for GBA and Pico Drive for Genesis/megadrive. Worked almost perfectly with smooth sounds and everything.

I wonder if it would be possible to save two sets of settings in the next version, as I mostly use the emulator with my PS3 control but would like to be able to easily reconfigure.

Also, I wonder if there are any plans to optimize for the N900 hardware so that full speed and special chipsets will work. I don't know programming, but I'd assume that the hardware is there to run all SNES games fullspeed because the N900 is similar to the Pandora project.

javi, if you need donations to get a N900 to make the speed improvements possible I'd throw a couple bucks your way bro. =)

Seeing as nobody is paying Javispedro anything for his work you don't really have a right to demand he or anybody else do anything.

Suggestions are probably fine but demands will probably A) make him unhappy and B) possibly make him and others stop.

It looks ungrateful.

It's true that extras-devel is a danger zone. But many apps are just still there just because there aren't enough voters to elevate to extras.

DrNokSnes has been on my N900 for months now and I've never had a problem with it so if you are asking for opinions, then I say it's safe.

Please keep in mind votes have nothing to do with extras-devel. The author is responsible for promoting to extras-testing where voting is done.

If DrNokSnes is really ready, maybe people should be pinging the author to promote it so it can go though QA. Sending people out of extras-devel to get killer software is bad because it starts to lose the value in the QA process.

hey guys need help. drnoksnes is working great and wiimote works also but it kicks me off games after a min back to drnoksnes home screen, but only when i play with wiimote. why is this?

ps working fine on supertux with wiimote and it dosent kick me off that.

Guess why it's on extras-devel. Other than the issue below it could also make you miss phone calls, sms, etc.

system_inactivity_ind kills the emu if the "Pause game in the background" option is active.
