The question was whether I could amend my pre-order when the T-Mobile orders are (presumed) out of quota.

When I asked MPD about the credit check they told me once that is done (which is done immediately upon ordering) the contract is assigned, just not activated until shipped.

Also someone else has tried to change and were told its a no-go, you can only change by cancelling and re-ordering a currently listed contract.

Right guys we've got nothing to do till 3rd Dec. If we start reading other threads we'll either get pissed off or convince ourselves that the N900 is full of bugs.

So I'll start

I spy with my little eye, something beginning with.........................N

Yeah, I suppose I would have done the same in his shoes. Either way, I spoke to someone who was equally as helpful

Yeah that was me. I was told you could cancel and reorder but as they weren't accepting any new T-Mobile contract orders I'd have to wait until t-mobile started playing ball again.

I was trying to add web'n'talk to my order which wasn't available when I first ordered - so I was actually trying to upgrade my package but still a no go. I'm going to see if they'll let me add it on when I activate otherwise it's going back and I'll rethink the whole thing.

Yeah I'm sure you can add web'n'walk on to any existing t-mobile contract, standard, plus or max levels, through the t-mobile website or customer services.

Once you have the phone/contract, just register your number/name on T-Mobiles site. On there you can add the web n walk to your contract for £5 extra a month. I believe the MPD WnW prices where just £5 more and the phone cost the same as the non WnW deal. If you do it with T-Mobile this way, you should be able to remove it later.
