Skype - Your Backup Phone!
When traveling out of state, there have been "dead zones" even for my Verizon carrier. When that happens, I find a WiFi access point (usually my motel for the night) and am able to call any landline or cell phone number. Of course, I will get charged a few cents per minute, but I am at least able to stay in touch with family and friends. It is totally free if I call another computer.

Re: Skype - Your Backup Phone!
Have you really started a thread to tell us about Skype?

Skype is REALLY going to rock once we can use the front cam for video conferencing...unless I'm totally mistaken and we already can (thought I read it's not available yet though).

I am sure that you have read somewhere in this forum about something new that you had no idea of. if you do not like or doesnot interest you why are you even posting in this thread? |
Re: Skype - Your Backup Phone!
I must say I have heard of Skype an know how to make a PC -> PC call.
But do you have to have a Skype account to use it for PC -> normal phone/mobile? (I know I probably could go to the skype homepage and search alot... but now that this thread is here...) :-) |
