Move to another country?

No, seriously, what exactly doesn't work? No free frequencies?

When I tried to use the FM transmitter with my car radio, it wouldn't pick up the signal unless my phone was literally a few inches from the car's FM antenna.

But then I tried it with a little handheld FM radio and it seemed to work as expected. I think maybe some receivers just aren't very sensitive?

And you think that the problem is related to you living in italy?
Maybe it's just your little handheld radio that works too well in your country

Wel... This has nothing to to with Italy but maybe with the crappy Italian car you drive :D

No, seriously: Can anyone tell how the quality of the FM trasmitter is?

The other thing I noticed about the FM transmitter is that the volume level is much lower than the broadcast stations in my area (Chicago). It must be set to use a very low deviation.

I guess some cars have their fm reciever/antenna more isolated than others. I'd say it's your car, not your country :)

My friends N900 transmitter worked fine in my old focus.
