Re: PR1.2 Exchange 2003 sync STILL fails (error 403)

The log is showing it is 02-08, which actually is (if it is) PR1.1.1.

Re: Mail for Exchange (MfE). Blame me here, pls

Hi

As a newb and only semi-technical user, can someone offer some guidance on the symlink issue please.

I am trying to connect to Exchange 2003 SP2 ( 6.5.7638.1) and I have been getting the secure connection/account disabled message. I've read as much as I can without going blind and have taken the following steps:-

1) Exported our self-signed certificate in all the numerous formats (with and without chains) by going to our webmail via Firefox (exporting as crt,der,p7c are the options I have).

2) Installed these by copying to my N900 and installed them as type of 'Server'.

3) Tried to create these symlinks by running the commands but I always get 'Permission Denied' when running the last command, e.g.

ln -s /home/user/.maemosec-certs/ssl-ca/* .

ln: ./0082cb3c.0: permission denied
ln: ./5c1b5e37eb71994d9a134178a2d4b9e90fe3b7f8.pem: permission denied

Can anyone advise please?

Many thanks :)

Glazza,
I have no idea what you are doing but permission denied can be overrun by installing rootsh and before executing those commands run: sudo gainroot
http://maemo.org/downloads/product/Maemo5/rootsh/
Be careful with that!

The symlink stuff has not been needed since PR1.1.

Do you use Exchange 2003 server?

BTW, does anyone has an explanation why there are twice the Drafts and Sent Items folders?
Because there are device folders (mail client folders) and server folders (MfE folders). They are different. Device "Drafts" and "Sent items" are not synced to Exchange server.

I'm on the latest UK firmware, I think 51.1. I might try the rootsh suggestion as I'm stuffed otherwise

You were right. Device stopped syncing today and it doesn't display all events and tasks. Too bad. It's a bug or something... maybe I could vote for it.

Do you have any recurring events?
