Amazon is pissing me off, their CSRs are pissing me off, and their slow @$$ is pissing me off. so fuc my oct. 17 order with amazon and fuc the $40 extra I need to pay I went with Nokia:

congrats on all those that got their n900s shipped out. i dont think my nov 16 order from amz will be shipping out anytime soon.

i give up on my nov 6 order from dell. i have no hope of either orders shipping soon. this sucks :(

a lot of people on the amazon discussion board seems to think the nov orders and onward will not be shipped out til late dec to jan. i sure hope its not gonn be that long.

i have a nov 20th order with the "after dec 25th" message. i should have ordered earlier and called to have the price adjusted later... but if it ever ships i'll have it for $479.99 with free shipping (after Nokia rebate).

Who the Fuk said Monday they will start shipping ? this is Monday and Tuesday in NZ and mine still have the same status " NOT YET SHIPPED" and my fuking emails never get responded.

It is all just the same speculation you see here based on the same limited facts that we all know by now. The only real info we have is that items are shipping out and so far we have seen dates ordered between September all the way to Oct 17th. Aside from that I think we are all blind as to what Amazon has with respect to inventory and when we will see our pre-orders shipped.

I shouldn't even wait until Friday but because of the price I will hold out. After that I may be ordering from Nokia direct...You know it ain't how long they are taking it is the lack of honest communication with buyers.

Hey maxximus - I know I teased you a bit with the fact that I got the N900 from the Nokia store.

But while I was there - there was this guy who came from Australia and he also bought the N900 along with me - and another guy from Washington.

The australian guy wanted to go for the Droid though - but being a CDMA device it wouldnt work for him in Australia so he got the N900 instead.

You missed you chane their - a close neighbor of your gets a N900 and you are left stranded. Had you hooked up with him (over the forums maybe) you could have asked the australian dude to get one for you (and he would have understood your kiwi accent). :)

Sep. 29, I ordered for one day shipping and ultimately haggled the price down to $529.
Nov. 26 my status changed to shipping soon.
Nov. 29, I received notice that it had shipped.
Nov. 30, I received it.

Someone on the Amazon forums who ordered on the 17th said that his status was changed to shipping soon. Up to now orderes in the first half of october and back have been shipped. I think the next wave of orders might be starting.

1. Australia is a close neighbor to NZ in the same way that Los Angeles a close neighbor to Chicago. :D

2. Not every kiwi who preordered an N900 acts like a petulant, entitled child. Seriously, just becuase you preordered a consumer device does not give you the right to demand it RIGHT NOW. Delays happen.

I hate the fact that even though I decided to order from Nokiausa and cancel my amazon, not because I didn't want to wait, but because I did not like the responses of the CSRs, I am unable to order from Nokia. I tried over the phone and the internet and my CC would not authorize because of their FFED up system..

I even told my bank to go ahead and authorize.


SO, even though I decided to say FCK Amazon, I'll order elsewhere, I can't, and I'm powerless.

Worst consumer experience.

I just had that exact same experience (but without the amazon bit, because in Canada we can't buy an n900 from amazon). Had three different people try to complete the transaction and each one failed.

I was really hoping to get one before I head back to England for christmas, but that's not looking so likely now.

I'm starting to feel like Nokia doesn't actually want the n900 in the hands of it's evangelists (obviously they do, but this is just what it's starting to feel like). End rant. :rolleyes:

I ordered it September 30th. I've been playing with it and my mic works perfectly! No reboots so far! This device is so awesome, it blows my N95 away by a mile.

Well anyone who is thinking about jumping ship to Nokia I just read on the Amazon page the Nokia will be ending the sale tomorrow and hiking the price back to the 649 pricetag they had before the weekend...

Mine is also "Not Yet Shipped" but I ordered yesterday, so no surprise there. I'm concerned because they briefly stopped preorders then started them again. That has me concerned that they ran out of the initial allotment already.

yay! At least amazon is shipping out to those from CA. Unlike Dell which decides to hate on CA and the whole west coast and not ship it out to us. i think i might just cancel from dell and stick with amazon.

yeah pretty much a week ago. But hope they get to it soon though, how far are they from November now? I've heard that people order in October 15 and some Oct 20th got their already.

Maxximuscool, depends how many devices amazon has in their stock. Some ppl were saying that they have like 170devices in stock with over 2k orders. Who knows?.
