Yeah, by choosing Amazon we clearly backed the wrong horse. Still, I have hopes that mid-November orders will ship before Christmas. After all, every angry cancellation is another place in the queue...

Lets hope my 23 Novemeber order go through in 1 week. This is getting really frustrating and the time is really close to the holiday season which making it even worst. People want to go on a holiday and have their new phone with them. Not sitting at home and wait for miracle to happen. Amazon blacklisted me because I emailed them too many time asking for an explanation on their lies about the device is not yet released from the manufacturer lol. They are such a bullshiit little prick when it comes to honesty. They are afraid to tell us the truth because if they do tell the truth, people would cancel their order and go for the other company.

Which is very pathetically marketing scam basically. The consumers need to know when and where they will get their order. Consumers give the money and the retailer sell it to them. That is what it should be done right now.

Now that consumers got money to pay for the goods, but the retailer trying to fool around and act like they dont want money anymore.

Me too. I need to get it before Xmas too. I spammed them many times and guess what they blocked me. I have to use the feedback email to get a response. I will keep going, Until my last breathe.

Stupid Amazon doesn't admit that they shipped items to customer already. They denied it still. All they say is we will looking into it, the new shipment is on the way, it is normal to have a several weeks delay from the released date to the shipping date, the item is note yet released, we are relying on the manufacturer information, I've checked the website and the item is marked as "Not yet release"...blah blah blah..

All bullshiit from them.

Good luck getting it before christmas since you ordered in mid november...not eveyone who ordered in october received their shipments. I'm so tempted to just order via the phone with Nokia, at least that way, people reported no credit card problems.....if only i lived in the states

Unless I'm much mistaken, it's a prepaid Visa deal for card-carrying Americans only. So the rebate is probably useless for importers...

Thank you for writing back to us at Amazon.com.

I have reviewed our previous correspondence with you, and I offer my sincere apologies for any misunderstanding thus far. The information provided was our standard tagline that all customer service representatives must communicate while we manage our under stocking situation.

We have been hit with the unfortunate situation of not having enough stock to fulfill all the pre-order that we have received at once. As such we have used the limited stock that we have been allocated so far to begin fulfilling the earliest pre-orders on a 'first come, first serve' basis dependent on geographical location and the stock within our local warehouses.

We are currently dispatching orders for all people who ordered between 8 and 20 Oct, and will start dispatching November orders by 5 Dec. Since your order was received in Late November, I would expect it to be prepared for shipping by 15th Dec.

We value your business greatly and hope that this precise information will provide you with the patience and resolve.

be rest-assured, as soon as the chronological backlog of orders has been fulfilled, your order will be dispatched. We've appreciated your business and hope to have the opportunity to serve you again in the future.

To acknowledge the trouble this matter has caused you, I've issued a promotional certificate of $20.00 to your account, which can be applied towards future purchases on Amazon.com. I understand that no promotional certificate can actually compensate for the inconvenience. Please accept it as a goodwill gesture. The balance of promotional certificate funds can't be viewed in Your Account but it will be visible during the order process.

when did you order bro?
They just send me an email as well.

Hello,

I understand your concern regarding your order #104-9641563-9xxxxxx.

I see that you have qualified for $50 rebate. I see that the item, "Nokia N900 Unlocked Phone/Mobile Computer with 3.5-Inch Touchscreen, QWERTY, 5 MP Camera, Maemo Browser, 32 GB--U.S. Version with Full Warranty" has not yet released on Amazon.com.

Once this item has been released and we receive copies, we will be able to ship it to you. It is not uncommon for there to be a delay of several weeks between the release and distribution of a new publication.

When your order is shipped, you should receive an e-mail message confirming the date, contents, and method of your shipment. As per our standard policy, we do not charge you for items until they enter the shipping process, so you will not be charged for this item until it is available and we have shipped it to you.

I see that your rebate form must be submitted by January 8, 2010. I still believe that you will receive "Nokia N900 Unlocked Phone/Mobile Computer with 3.5-Inch Touchscreen, QWERTY, 5 MP Camera, Maemo Browser, 32 GB--U.S. Version with Full Warranty" the end of December, 2009. I have also upgraded the shipping method to One-day shipping to make sure that your order reaches by the estimated delivery date.

I hope this helps. Looking forward to seeing you.

My order just changed to have a tracking number on amazon. I did not receive email saying it had shipped (even though I did receive email from Amazon last night saying *other* amazon orders had shipped.)

Ordered: Oct 10
Price lowered twice to 529
2-day prime shipping
Amazon shows it shipped yesterday: 30 Nov
Scheduled to arrive: Tomorrow 2 Dec
Android Amazon App showed: 10 Dec for this order

What can I say. I certainly was concerned when I saw people who ordered after me receiving their devices.

I did finally receive the shipping notice email from Amazon moments ago.

Interestingly, when I track the package through Amazon's page it says "Shipment has left seller facility and is in transit" while UPS' tracking web site says just "Billing Information Received". I suspect that amazon changes that status in their application to make it seem as if the package has actually been picked up.

I can't see how Amazon can be gaining anything from this whole fiasco. They are losing customers left and right and getting more bad publicity in the past month than they did in the last 5 years.

Nokia, on the other hand, is making some quick gains by stealing customers from its retailers. This may help them in the short run (Q4 reports) but is a risky game to play in the long run (Amazon, Buy.com and others will not be delighted to work with them again).

My guess is that Amazon cannot disclose the terms of their agreement with Nokia, but basically Nokia has them by the *****, and is squeezing real hard.
