I'm about to get the phone on Friday from Datavis (through buy.com) and I have a Amazon 11/20 Preorder.

The Amazon order would cost me about $470, while the Datavis order cost about $570. However, even if Amazon announced they would get it here asap (the 10th) I would have to pay a 15% restocking with Datavis. That would make up the difference if I returned it anyway.

The other option, is I could get the Amazon one and flip it on ebay. Hopefully sell for $570 or so to make back the $100. But, having thought about it.... that would just be screwing someone over in the preorder queue... So I think I'm going to cancel my amazon order...

In conclusion! There is now another free spot in the line gentlemen!

dell customer service was good they took back phone without re stocking fee.

All gone already from Nokiausa.com even Newegg.com also gone. This sell quite well, I think Nokia should keep N900 and allowed it to port Maemo6 onto it

Same thing happened to Amazon. But now too many complaint so they changed the N900 status to OUT OF STOCK.. no longer Pre-order

lol that reviewer should've read the spec of the phone first before buying it. then s/he would know 3g doesn't work on att/cingular.

i honestly think dell has no clue when they are receiving the next shipment and are just giving us random dates generated by their ordering system.

its funny that after you add the n900 in your cart, it says "Usually Ships Pre Order"...no date. lol

lol... they gave me a date indeed....
first, was November 24th. then, was December 2nd, and the original date from its website is December 9th.
my customer care told me it would be January 15th. T_T

Cant be worst than what it is now though hahaha. It is getting really frustrating and at the same time its funny that everyone is stuck on the same thing. Waiting for the same thing and keep refreshing their email inbox and the Amazon order or Dell order in a hope of something change lol. I did that since the last 9days lol.

Amazon is also OUT OF STOCK. .... Not sure if they ever ship the device out again. Seem like they out of stock for sure.. they are waiting for new shipment

Anyway Im going to order ClearProtect Screenprotector for n900, and wait for the N900 to come. They accept international shipping :D gotta borrow my cousin CC :D

so finally amazon is smart enough to realize that they taken in way too many preorders and have to say its out of stock. i guess they learned it the hard way after receiving thousands of complaints from irritate customers

I had emailed them both times the price dropped. So after the refund clears I'll have been charged $586.98-$103= $483.98 plus I might as well try for the $50 rebate from Nokia as well.

It's is on the Fedex truck right now and I picked up a T-Mobile sim yesterday :)

Comments:Hello, I have two concerns:

1) I contacted Amazon on 11/19/09 because the price was listed as $529.99 and I was told that I would only be charged that amount.  However it appears that I was charged $586.98.  Please refund the difference.

2) The $50 rebate for this device says it must be purchased between 11/16/09 and 12/31/09.  My receipt says that the order date is 10/17/09.  I called Nokia and asked and they said that since it says 10/17/09 I will not be eligible for the rebate through them.  I feel this was misleading because the item was shipped during the required period and wasn't even available before then.  Can you please process the rebate for me on your end?

Ordered Nov 6. Got the estimated shipping email today. Status now changed to "being prepared for shipping" - no more changes to order.

Estimated delivery is now Dec 8.

I think I see the light!

About 6 hours ago Amazon emailed to all the 1st -10th November order. Now You are the 16th already got the email. Lets wait to see if they actually send it to me too. I'm the 23rd November.

Amazon.com just ruined my day.

1. I received an email saying the n900 will ship on the 9 or 10th
2. The estimated arrival was the 16 - 22
3. I called Amazon to see if I could get it by the 19 for sure.
4. Associate tells me he can upgrade my shipping and credit me for the shipping and i'll get it on th 15th. YAY!
5. I check online, my shipping date is changed back to "after december 25th"
6. I call Amazon back, speak to a new associate who tries to tell me the item is not released.
7. I tell her I just spoke to someone, who changed my shipping so I would get it earlier
8. She tells me that shes sorry but now i've been moved to the back of the preorder
9. I ask to speak to a supervisor because this is ridiculous.
10. Supervisor checks a bunch of records, tells me that anyone who received a shipping date would be receiving an email saying that the shipping has been changed to unknown
11. I tell her my situation again, she spends 10 minutes "looking" for information
12. Tells me she'll call me back.

Update! Supervisor/Team leader called me back.

1. She said she called fulfillment center
2. They pulled my package to update the shipping label or something
3. Claims my package is actually going to be going out from the fulfillment center today
4. Said she'll call me back if anything goes wrong

Maybe they sorted it out?
