I got the same type of email from amazon stating my order status change to a Dec 9th "estimated" delivery ( order date was the Nov 30 ). After the whole issue of them cancelling my order from Sept 17 and me having to re-order, I thought this was a result of them making amends by pushing me up the line, but I see every body is getting it. Which to me means, they must be expecting another batch that hasn't made it there yet but if according to plan, does make it, they hope to ship out some time soon like the 9th.

hahah sure thing bro, I'll be Offline for may be 2 weeks max. gotta reconnect my phone line and my Internet again. My uncle disconnected it. Now i'm going to put my own phone line and he can never disconnecting it again.:D Happy day for me.

Amazon has also removed their N900 from the list now. And they linked the third party to their original listing. However I heard about AmazingWatcher.Com which is a free website that will “watch” items for you on Amazon and let you know when amazon has them in stock at regular retail price.http://www.amazingwatcher.com

No email from Amazon though... how puzzling considering the 4th is today. But it is the start of the day (7:54 AM where I am right now) so they could be shipping it out later today. *shrugs*

I'll be in Ocean City for my 2 yr anniversary (not marriage, that's coming after graduate school) this weekend and I have a paper to finish and finals coming up so I won't have time to watch its every movement.

Though I do wonder where Amazon found this stock..

ordered on 11/7 and shipping status is "item shipped on 12/3. estimated arrival is 12/7"

and a buddy of mine, ordered sometime around 11/20 has his estimated delivery of 12/9.

notifying that my Order of the N900 should be delived by Dec 8th.
I placed my pre-order on Nov 20th.

Yoohoo.

But now I have 2 N900's one from Nokia NYC store (due to lack of patience).

After my status on Amazon.com changed to "Delivery Estimate: Dec. 8" it took quite a few hours before I actually go an email from Amazon saying they had updated my delivery. Just be patient, i'm sure you'll get ur email! :)

My order from 2nd Oct changed to 'Shipping Soon' 5 loooong days ago, and still no email or delivery estimate .. !!!

So how many people have changed their shipping speed or address after receiving a delivery date for your ordered phone?

Did any of you get bumped to the back to a later shipping date? Or have you all gotten better shipping without it negatively effecting your position in line?

Woo, I just got a shipping notice from Amazon!

I noticed they charged my card last night and my status changed to shipping soon, so I thought they might end up shipping it out today rather than Monday, and they did. So I should have an N900 come Monday morning (overnight shipping ftw)

Too bad it didn't ship yesterday so I wouldn't have to wait through the whole weekend. Oh well.

I just upraded my shipping to one day after i got the notice and its supposed to arrive the 8th instead of the 9th so i dont think it will affect u negatively

After 5 long tiring, horrible, 'Shipped Soon' days, I have finally received the email that I had already imagined in my dreams so many times ... :rolleyes:

Funny thing is, as of now, there is no charge on my card, at all !! Well there was one till like yesterday, which disappeared this morning .. I called the bank about this in the morning, and they said that the authorisation charge was cancelled by us since the retailer did not confirm the charge they had put on earlier in pending state. It was removed due to bank' policy of not leaving any authorisation charge in pending state for any longer than 3 days ... Most probably Amazon would realize this sooner or later and maybe try to charge my card again .. but if I get the phone for free, well ... :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I ordered on Nov. 20, and received this shipping status email from Amazon yesterday:

"Estimated arrival date: December 18 2009 - December 28 2009"

(I ordered w/ super saver shipping -- seems like others who ordered w/ faster shipping methods received notices that theirs will arrive sooner -- some as early as Dec. 8?)

I originally ordered mine in September and then had to cancel and reorder to lock in the $529 price and the $50 rebate, because Amazon wouldn't change my invoice date and it wouldn't have qualified under the terms of the $50 rebate. I reordered on November 19th and my order status is now showing an expected arrival date of December 9th. I received a notice that my order would not ship prior to Christmas and was actually going into my account to cancel the order when I noticed the expected ship data. If I don't get a shipping notice by the 7th-8th I will cancel my order and go with something else, likely an Android handset and a Viliv X5. Nokia and Amazon have both royally screwed up this launch.

Free super saver is taking (on papers) is taking up to 10 days. This is why you see December 18-28...

Changed to 2-day shipping ($11 -- what the hell, why not?) and now the shipping date is Dec. 9 -- so far sounds like shipping estimates are consistent across people who ordered on the same day.

I usually receive "Super Saver Shipping" items blazingly fast and way under the Amazon estimates, but if they're using shipping rates to prioritize when units go out, why not cut in line the legitimate way...

Provided I now get my Nokia N900 safely now, which supposedly shipped out earlier today, I would be cancelling my two additional orders on Amazon for two more N900s .. someone else can get those then :)

Biitches and hoes I'm back but only for a while though... Lol.. I'm in a good mood cos my N900 is still yet say NOT YET SHIPPED.. Estimate 9th still. So far I've been hunting down Wifi network and use it on my Windows7 Enterprize Laptop. LOL... I'm in StarBuck By the way. Their stupid voucher card expired on me after 10mins and bumped me out and I have to talked to manager and they give me another one... FFS I paid 3$ for 1hour of 60Mb internet man...

Thank you buddy. Hope your cancellation help speeding us the process of delivery. So far no update for me. My god I've spent like 10bucks on internet for 1day lol.. Also, the prices for the N900 from 3rd party sellers are ridiculous. A friend referred us to an interesting trick that alerted us within seconds of when some Nokia accessories we were looking for came back in stock, at the REGULAR Amazon price. It actually monitors Amazon stock, and much faster than email. It's free and people are using it for I guess anything else that's out of stock. Right now we're using it to watch for a laptop. Just had my 11/24 order for delivery pushed from the 7th to the 9th (1 day Prime). The fact that they've made such a minor amendment makes me think Amazon may finally be on top of the process and actually know how to fulfill their preorders. As always I'll just be glad if I get the phone before my summer vacation (that's January for you north hemispherians).

Wow, It works!

I didn't even realize it at first. As soon as I started the free trial for Amazon Prime, my status switched to 'shipping soon' (originally shipping dec11, arriving free 5-8day shipping on dec18-28).

I had to actually call Amazon to change it (because it was processing and locked me out) to get 1day 3.99 shipping. After the update she said I should be getting it Tuesday.

Woohoo! (Sorry if I just cut in-front of anyone but free-trial+$4 is definitely worth getting the n900 20 days early! :) )

I think I'll pick up Left 4 Dead 2 while I'm on Amazon Prime.

I'm fighting so hard not to write a scathing report on Amazon, since I don't even think its their fault about all of the delays. However, I ordered over 2 1/2 months ago, and I'm watching people buy and get delivery in days. WTF?!
