Don't think you're hard done by if you haven't received your late November order yet.

Just checked with in my mail forwarder (from US address to Australia as Amazon won't ship direct) and my Nov 11th pre-order shipping date estimate is 18th of December - just in time for New Years (when the office will be closed and no-one will be able to take delivery).

Oustanding.

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Donno who did you go with for your forwarder?

I always avoid against using those. Mainly for warranty reasons.
Send it back to forwarder > They send to Amazon > Amazong sends to Nokia. Chain of madness.

PriceUSA sells to Australia, I wish I'd gotten mine there. Cheap.

i notice that amazon is not offering the phone anymore only third party...what does this mean?? are they totally out of stock and are we to wait until the next shipment (does anyone know when the next shipment is?) or do they have enough phones to ship to ppl who preorder already...

I can also confirm I am also having similar experiences as you. Also bought from amazon (received 12-08). My initial impression was that its a lot smaller than what I had expected. No reboots, mics, or any call issues.

Since i'm also in the bay area (san jose), i noticed it went in 3.5G a lot of time (i think it may be due to the supposely upgraded cell towers to support of HSPA 7.2mbps?). I only wish there were more apps available.

I also noticed that amazon completely took down their order page. Its only showing 3rd party sellers. I guess its busy trying to fulfill all their orders and cant take any new ones.

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

@Vinni3,
Amazon still have their own listing but it is located on the right side of the page under "add to chart" option. I am still waiting for my confirmation that they promised me the other day. They told me that my order is going to be shipped on the 11 December. Well today is already the 11 December in NZ but still 10th December in USA. So one more day I will know the truth.

I guess you are on the same boat as me, 23rd November. So we wait..

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

@maxximuscool
its not there anymore. if look under "More buying choices" on the right and click on the 2 new, it doesnt list amazon as a seller. They only show the 3rd party sellers.

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

I ordered since 12 nov, via forwarder to AUS. Until today my forwarder said she hasn't received any email (amazon tell her they will "start" to deliver it from 18th of dec) is anyone in the same boat with me?

i saw some people who order 20++ nov already get their order. this is really sucks since i ordered earlier. or this might be connected with the shipping method my agent choose for my order? (maybe the cheapest one)

what shipping method you guys choose?

I originally ordered via that pre-filled link Carolina put up, and after I heard about all the delays I got her to upgrade the shipping to 3 day Fedex, however I think that is only US-AUS :(.

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

@ Vinni3, No buddy, no confirmation just yet. I was hoping I would get it tomorrow though.

@aironeous, Adobe Flash 10 is coming to N900. It will enable HD Flash contents. That's what I've heard

@Kev30, it is not shipped lol so there is a chance of delay. Yes I will be waiting for another 1 week minimum but I hope it get here before 23rd December. Else it won't get to me until January.

You know what dude, they are waaaaaaay tooo f'n late.

I'm paying 500 plus for a f'n phone and this ***** *** corp (Adobe) thinks it can hold an open source platform like maemo hostage to their f'n lazy *** release to you cuz you are low priorty.

Remove Adobe dependence, please! Maemo is not priority to them.
I will donate $100 to first person that commits themselves to developing open source flash (Gnash).

You just don't understand it, Adobe are working on it for android 2.0 too. As you can see not many linux OS version have the latest Flash support. Take a look at Yellow Dog Linux, It doesn't have anything at all. it has to use Gstreamer combined with + Gnash and some few other addons to view the flash contents in mp4 format.

Take a look at the Iphoney 3GS its running on safari and yet no flash support embedded to the browser. Maemo5 already got Flash 9.4 for its first firmware, which is really promisingly quick. So just hold on a little, the next firmware update it will have the latest Flash 10.0 :-)

Slowly but steady:p

excuse my crappy grammar

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

You are tolerating a much longer delay than everything else in smartphone/laptop history.
This is the longest delay of any major feature ever.
You compare N900 delay with Flash 10 delay and Adobe should be getting tomatoes thrown at their corp windows.
Adobe *** tastes sooo goood keep kissing it, since they have a practical monopoly on flash.
Consider it
anti-monopoly laws
flash 10=equals monopoly cuz Adobe makes everyone in the world wait until they f'n get around to releasing it for your platform.

Most websites will convert to highest flash version making your N900 unusuable on their site.
Remove Adobe monopoly now!
Support open source or force government to release code for flash as open source.
No more strangle hold from Adobe. Take away this companies strangehold over our flash viewing content on the web.
Government needs to remove this companies closed source flash monopoly!
Adobe has a monopoly on flash, US government should intervene now.

:D buddy, don't complain here. No one would care about it. Make a thread and let people decide. Beside if you dislike Adobe Flash that much then uninstall it :D and move to Gnash. I'll stick to what available and support. Exaggerating won't make anything better regardless of what your want.

So swallow it and get back to AMAZON topic please.:D

Wrong,..... it is a monopoly and it is screwing all of us.

@aironeous,
I dont care right now, I just want my N900 first.
Beside N900 is has an opensource OS, so it may be possible in the future. So for now just stay cool and get back to the topic :)

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

I want my N900 to get here too, but Adobe needs to get check mated f'n seriously ...... who the f do they think they are to create a closed source form of video interface stream that they can just take their f'n time to release to every platform?
How long do you think Asia will stand for that B.S.?

I can't believe no corp has stood up to their crap and removed them from public flash dominance.

Closed source flash?????

Do you not see what this crap (I say crap cuz they have no morals) company is doing, trying to hold on to a monopoly?

Are you going to support them having a monopoly?
Remove this flash monopoly now.

Dude no corporation out will out run Adobe. Macromedia used to owned Flash and yet Adobe bought it right up. Anything stand infront of them they will pay them out with their big cash. So you think Asia can stand a chance against a giant corp?

It is all about money buddy. Every company wants money. So for now just stick to what we got, it is way better than nothing dude. 9.4 is better than flashlite 3.1 lol.:D

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Looks like Amazon may finally be running out of N900s...I was just asked to "approve" my 11/24 order with an updated delivery date of 12/17 (pushed back from the 11th > 9th > 8th > etc). The good news is my order now shows as "shipping soon", and I can no longer cancel the order. I guess 6 days is "soon"-ish... Now all I can hope for is the USD to plummet some more against the NZD before they charge me.

Patience is a virtue, patience is a virtue, patience is a virtue...

Closed source flash?????

Are you f.. ing (to use your language) serious ? Why do you want the N900 which supports closed-source flash ? Why dont you put your money where you mouth is ? Dont buy the N900. Period.
Go look for a device which has open sourced flash somewhere else. Nokia is not pushing you to but the N900.

And there are a lot of monopolies and seriously Adobe with Flash is not a monopoly - cause there are alternatives to Flash - as you suggested try any of those other flash implemtations.

Give us a break from your flash tirade. This thread is about Amazon deliveries. In fact now it seems this thread is only about maxximuscool not yet receiving his Amazon order while all others already have. :)

All the best Maxximus. Hope you get it soon, real soon.

For me they charged the card in the morning yet they didn't ship it out (it wasn't even picked up by UPS) untill around 10 PM. If you want you can email them inquiring about when you will get tracking information and if you can still expect it by the delivery date.

@nilchak, cheer for the heads up buddy, I hope I get some sort of information very soon. Not just me though, there are quite a lot of us here still have not received our beautiful N900.

@Laughing Man, Yeah I should do that, but I dont think they ever replying lol. I emailed them 2 times 1 day ago but got nothing back either.

Edit: :( Some guy on Amazon forum ordered on the 25/11 and his already shipped today. Mine still only "Shipping Soon" wtf!!!

wtf!! Why I dont get any confirmation. I just emailed them to ask about my order. Its been shipping nearly 24hours now.. and yet no tracking number nothing. What the hell!! This is ridiculously stupid.. they've changed the status to "Shipping Soon" which meant they have already charged the Credit Card..right? What time is it over there right now buddy!

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Oh btw I asked my friend from KY about the Amazon warehouse. He said Amazon has one of their largest warehouses and order processing in KY. Yet he hates waiting on packages from Amazon because the way they process orders for that region. For him it results in the package shipping to another state and then back to him. When he could just drive the two hours to Amazon's warehouse and pick it up if they let him. lol

So I'm guessing the warehouse that I know of in VA is a smaller one.
