I've mentioned this to others, but it may be buried in this long thread or elsewhere. But in case it helps. I'm using a free tool that monitors Amazon stock and sounds an alert when something comes back in stock - www.azproductsnatcher.com

Is it normal that my delivery going the opposite way?

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Yes. It's called getting it to you as cheap as possible. It's likely UPS didn't have room on a truck going directly towards you. In those cases, it's cheaper for them to send it out of the way on one or more trucks that do have room, instead of sending an entire truck with only your package. That, or tracking info is screwed up and incorrect.

VHWOOP!

Got an email from the PriceUSA forwarding service saying my phone has eventually turned up from Amazon and is at the US agents place. I've got 1-3 day Fedex to Australia so with any luck I'll have it in my hands friday (*sings "I'm so excited" by Pointer Sister in my head).

Pre-order date was 11th of November, free shipping.

I'm in the same situation. Just received the emails from PriceUSA for both my orders placed on 12 November.
But I got USPS 8-10 days? I just hope it gets here before the 25th :D

It changed to Dec 20th earlier today and now it is not listed any more. Probably Nokia is delaying the shipments forever. I have my order with Dell and probably it is time to cancel.

I ordered last night finally from Amazon.

Initially I went to check out and it said out of stock (from Amazon directly) -- just as I was going to submit my order.

An hour later, it was listed on their site again for $549 and I placed an order, which, with overnight shipping says:

Delivery estimate: December 18, 2009

We'll see if it ships tomorrow

I figured it was a brain cramp. On the Amazon search-result page the line-up of phone photos has N900 and N97 side-by-side. The N97 looks enough like the N900 they're easy to mistake.

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Brace yourselves, guys. I'll be shocked AND pissed at Amazon if you recent order guys get your phones on the 18th.
I ordered on 2 Dec. It's further spelled-out in post #840 of this thread (page 84), but the summary goes...
Ordered 2 Dec.
On 3 Dec, my expected delivery date was the 9th.
On the 8th, they slipped it to the 15th.
On the 12th, they slipped it to the 17th.
Today, they slipped it to the 23rd.
My Amazon price ($550-50 rebate) is $50 better than other sources, so I'm happier waiting than going elsewhere. I WANT this phone ASAP--I don't NEED this phone ASAP! Still, want can be an irritating feeling when it ain't happenin' fast enough. :(

Edit: *** They shipped it ***
@6pm on Fri, 18th. With 2-day shipping, they say it will arrive Tues, 22nd.
I guess Sat doesn't count towards shipping? Sounds funny to say shipped on the 18th, and will arrive on 22nd with 2-day shipping!

--edited to correct price to $550 from $450 typo.

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

I got mine last week! I've been putting it through its paces so much I haven't had much time to visit the forum. There is just so much to master with this phone.

Unfortunately. I've got a small defective part (the camera door split open). So I'm waiting to get my next n900 replacement before I ship it back.

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Hang in there guys. The November ordered only just shipped. So I guess your order may be a little delay. Mine only just shipped on the 11December and got on the 14th December. But now it is shipped again to NZ to me. lol My brother opened it to get IMEI out. Now it is somewhere unknown..This is with the 3-5Day Express International Mail + insurance. But seems like 2 days is already passing by. And yet still no confirmation regarding it being landed on NZ soil yet either. Over 24hours trip still no signed of arrival.

Eg: Miami -> NZ (Auckland City) = 19-22hours estimate flight time.
I just hope USPS is not going to be a disappointment again. My sister paid an extra shipping cost as well in a hope of speeding it up.

Screw Amazon .. my lack of patience has got the best of me and I couldn't bare to be at their mercy. I canceled my original order and went with a 3rd party supplier; I paid substantially more, but it'll be here tomorrow and I can get back with my life now ;)

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

I made my order on the 11th of Dec. Amazon when they showed as having stock on the 16th, and the delivery date hasn't changed from Dec. 21-22, however it is now Dec. 16 and the order didn't come out today... what gives?
I want to have it on the 22nd because I'm having it delivered to a PO Box as I don't live in the USA (I live 3 hours from the border) and I'm doing my X-mas shopping on that day.

Now that I see Amazon having stock on the 20th, oh man...

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Both my orders were placed with Amazon on November 12.

My tracking with USPS is like this since I received the email from PriceUSA on the 14th of December (already the 15th in Australia) saying that my order was shipped:

Quote:

Label/Receipt Number: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Class: Priority Mail International Parcels
Service(s): International Parcels
Status: Electronic Shipping Info Received

The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on December 14, 2009 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

Re: N900 from Amazon: deals, availability, shipping status

Lorddct,
I DIDN'T get a $450 price. Typo on my part. My bad. I'll go back and edit it. I've got the $550 Amazon deal, but every other pseudo-reputable dealer I've seen is $50+ higher, and some will charge tax, too (Dell, Nokia).

Ok here's my amazon order story :D I ordered on dec 12th as soon as it popped up in stock dec 16th. I added one day shipping also so my device was set to be here dec 18th. but everyday I logged in the ship date changed from 19th to 21st to 22 nd than back to the 18th. I fired off an email yesterday to amazon asking about it they wrote back sorry but it back ordered we taken $20 off the invoice. I fired back thanks for the 20 dollars off but by time I get the device I wont be able to get the 50 dollars rebate from nokia which is why I order on the 12th to be safe they fired back we will take off the rebate from the invoice so my order dropped from 559 to 492 total. So if they get there stock in 19th or 20th as planed and my phone ships out 21st have it 22nd it will be well worth the wait to save that much off on it. and with money I saved I went to the tmobile store and got the unlimited no contract plan and they said all I gotta do is dial 611 on the handset to get the data working. Hope this helps people to contact amazon who ordered last week like me to get the rebate taken off the price.

tell them that you wont be able to get the 50 dollars rebate from nokia cause the phone coming late and you would like a 20 dollars off to since your phone isn't coming on the ship date to make up for the mix up with the changing in stock date. This is no way getting over on amazon only making them live up to there word about the ship date and rebate this is no way trying to skim them thats not my aim as amazon have taken care of me over the years and the way they handle my order is the only reason I wont be cancelling my order. Only took two email to drop the price for me and with that being said it's worth keeping if you ask me
