What is cybermonday code? Is there something Nokia is doing?

Well i got that, but i thought it was etailer dependent.... so we know that Nokia will be putting out a coupon? Or is there a coupon that's universal?

etc. lol I may do the same as laughing

cybermonday is invalid man. Here in NZ is already Monday morning. Still say invalid. May be it meant to be Monday USA? lol which is tomorrow for USA but will be today.

Laughing Man 2009-11-29 21:20

Re: Amazon?

Well the store the coupon is for is NokiaUSA.. would make sense if it is only active starting when the USA hits Monday. =P

Don't know if the coupon is legit though, it's worth a shot. Worse case is if it doesn't work you just don't buy it from NokiaUSA considering you would apply the code before you even put in payment information.

So I've made the decision if my N900 doesn't ship with the priority status by next Friday, I'm going to use the 35% cashback from Bing for T-Mobile and buy the new Blackberry Bold...and in three or four months when the N900 is in enough quantities and the price is below $400 ( which we all know it will be ) then I'll buy it.

Nah I don't think 3-4 months, maybe 4-6 months. =P

But that's one of the reasons why I decided I might as well stick with Amazon (if the NokiaUSA Cybermonday code isn't legit) since I'm getting it for $429.

Laugh, I thought you canceled your order with Amazon and went with Nokia?

NSchuyler 2009-11-29 21:37

Re: Amazon?

Probably had cashback or a giftcard.... I'm getting it for $470 from amazon. Rebate + $529.99 price + $9 credit from coinstar

Laughing Man 2009-11-29 21:37

Re: Amazon?

$529 (when Amazon had it for that price) - $50 (Amazon gift certificate from bank rewards program) - $50 (Nokia Rebate) = $429.

Though at this rate I may not be eligible for the rebate.. I sent an email to Amazon about that.. hopefully if they don't ship in time they'll take the hit on the rebate then.

Nah I still have my preorder with Amazon. I'm waiting tomorrow to see if the cybermonday 10% code I found on maemo.org is legit for NokiaUSA. If so I'll just buy it from NokiaUSA, if not I'll stay with Amazon and wait.

Edit: spinnukur, btw are you over 21? Once I get the n900 I'm going create an event in off-topic for all the Washingtonians. Gather at a pub (probably Fado's). Though if your not over 21, you can still get in, just have to get in there before 5-6 PM I think.

If I remember he has a credit like I. If I get the phone after rebate, it'll come out to $449, so he has a bigger credit but still, it's nice to see what it could have been.

Well that's the thing. I thought the online store them in stock and ready to ship. No pre-order. Current price in $569. If price remains that low in AM, then additional %10 off 569, is all I need to convince me to order from them versus Dell or Amazon. If price goes back to full price then never mind. So anyone got the code or know where to find it?

NSchuyler 2009-11-29 21:57

Re: Amazon?

why Not? I thought that it didn't apply to preorders, but nokiausa has them in stock. So it's not a preorder?

Re: Amazon?

At this rate, it's probably better to cancel preorders from Amazon and go with Nokia...at least with Nokia, we'll be able to get it ready for the $50 rebate. It doesn't seem like Amazon will be able to ship all preorders before the rebate expires.

NSchuyler 2009-11-29 22:50

Re: Amazon?

Well I already decided to at least try and see if Nokia would go through.... but of course not, it failed so.... I either need to call them and have it fail live on the phone, or just continue waiting for amazon.

Hi Everyone, my first post here but I've been following these forums and (everywhere else) with this n900 shipping saga...

Anyway, I ordered through Amazon on October 7th and finally received shipping confirmation yesterday. I had an amazon prime account at the time so I had 1 day shipping on it. Should receive my n900 tomorrow!

Will keep you guys updated!

Yeah, that's my concern so I emailed Amazon about it. Hopefully I'll get a positive response (or something like they'll credit me $50 if it doesn't get to me before the 7th of Jan).

With NokiaUSA if the CyberMonday code doesn't work the amount with the rebate is still more then the amount at Amazon before the rebate (since I have to factor in sales tax and shipping cost). So I would get the device sooner but pay more (I rather wait).

Re: Amazon?

I really doubt Amazon can do anything about the rebates since rebates are from manufacturers...we can always hope

Laughing Man 2009-11-29 23:15

Re: Amazon?

True though they could always take the price hit of the rebate themselves. That is knock off 50 dollars for every pre-order not sent by Jan 7th. But then again that would probably be to much in the name of customer service (in which Amazon has nearly burnt up most of my positive expectations of Amazon's customer service). Which is quite sad..

Re: Amazon?

Amazon preorders will begin shipping Monday. Word from an insider. I expect mine in the morning, too. So I'll have TWO N900s to play with! If my "source" is right. She usually is. Says Amazon's had the devices for weeks, just couldn't ship yet.

So congrats, thread. We can stop crying to each other and talk phoneputer talk. I'm willing to bet Amazon sold more than anywhere else, so look for the forums to blow up Monday afternoon.

Laughing Man 2009-11-29 23:23

Re: Amazon?

Haha, well christexaport, I hope your right. Though I'm a pessimistic =P, so I just don't think they have enough stock from the first shipment to cover all the pre-orders.

Someone else said that they have only 179phones left from over 2k more orders in stock. So... Tomorrow we will see.

Yeah totally agreed, Amazon only got about 140 Items left and the order is over 2000 devices lol. How is that going to make this thread die? unless they removed the Pre-order button and then shipping everyone one by one

Shipment #1: Not Yet Shipped
We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date. You can cancel at any time.

So much for shipping on Monday like "christexaport" said lol
If it is meant to be shipped this Monday then my status should be changed already. lol. Your information is "FAILED". I bet get a gun and go back to who ever told you that and force it out of them :D before you say that Monday this or that.

NSchuyler 2009-11-29 23:37

Re: Amazon?

Well i know this is a little off topic.... but I tried to order from NokiaUSA, just for the hell of it and my CC was declined twice and my Debit once.....but all of the sudden I got a call from my CC company asking for my authorization on the first CC charge. I said sure, authorize it.

The thing is, I have no order confirmation from Nokia.... so I do not know if I'm actually going to receive the device.... and no order # etc. So I emailed nokia to see if they could let me know whether or not I actually bought the damn thing.

Then, if I did, I have to decide which order to cancel....Amazon or Nokia

EDIT: WTF..... now the 636 or w/e dollars just disappeared from my debit account. Please do not tell me that I just bought two phones from Nokia. AH THIS IS TERRIBLE

Re: Amazon?

@maxximuscool - Wouldn't it be Monday US? I mean you are in NZ and you had a family member in the US order correct? Still a chance the source could be good.

Also that 179 number being floated around doesn't sound right. I mean Amazon would receive less inventory than the two US Nokia stores? I don't buy that.
