Is it possible to change gpodder settings to store podcasts in /home/user/

/media/mmc2 is running out of space.

Welllll... yes, but it'll be more difficult to set that up now that gpodder's hidden that 'advanced' config panel. It might, in fact at this point, be easier to just directly edit the 'download_dir = ' line in /home/user/.config/gpodder/gpodder.conf

Ahha.. found it... here's how to get to the ADVANCED dialog...

Drop-down menu, choose 'Podcasts' -> 'Preferences' -> (press the buttons) Fullscreen-Fullscreen-Plus-Minus-Plus-Fullscreen

Start typing 'down' and scroll down to 'download_dir' and you can tap next to it to set the path. :)

Hopefully Thomas will fix this awful method of accessing the advanced menu soon.

One last note: Keep a careful eye on your free space, though.. there isn't normally a lot of free space in the volume that /home resides in. Thanks to the fact that /home isn't in its own partition, if it fills up it will cause problems with the tablet overall. You're usually better off storing on the external card, if for no other reason than to prevent filling up the same volume that the whole system depends on.

Wow that is buried pretty deep. I will watch the available space on the drive however I am booting from an 8 gig sd card so worst that can happen is I have to boot to the card on the device.

Note to myself and anyone else that wants to try this. Let gpodder create the directory you want it to download to. When I created the folder /home/user/gpodder it refused to downloads any podcasts with an error saying the file did not exist.

I never tried that. heheh Good to know--and probably bug-reporting worthy too. :)
