How to take a screenshot?
I have searched the boards extensively and so far am unable to find a way to take screen shots?
I'm know I'm likely to be crucified for asking such a nooby question. But I'd much rather just prefer some help! |

Re: N900 Screen Shots?

Then you're not taking screenshots correctly. If you've never taken any then the directory gets created when you do. Check the image browser to see if it was correctly taken. |
Re: N900 Screen Shots?
I've read that hildon tends to screw up some names on the more 'special' folders. Are you looking for them in the phone or with the phone connected to a pc?
Try getting a terminal on the phone ( main menu -> more -> x terminal) and type "cd /home/user/MyDocs/.images/Screenshots" (no quotes). If if says nothing, the folder is there. Then type "ls" to see what's inside |
Re: N900 Screen Shots?
Followed this exactly
cd /home/user/MyDocs/.images/Screenshots found nothing? |
Re: N900 Screen Shots?
If you use File Manager
It'll be in N900/Images/Screenshots No need for those Terminal commands if it's empty then you probably haven't taken any screenshots ;) |
Re: N900 Screen Shots?
If it said nothing like "no such file or directory", then the folder is there. Now, since i don't own a device i can't tell you how to access the files. Typing "mv * .." (be sure to be in screenshots folder!) will move them to .images, where i guess the rest of the images are stored, so you can see them with the image viewer
