sometimes when i look at screenshot photos , on tthe photo i see something like it says ,take a screenshot, and i am wondering like on desktop computers can you actually take screenshots on the nokia like capture the screen in front of you.

Yes, install the cpu load applet that includes the screen capture function...

cpu load applet dose not work for me ??

i got this thing installed it shows in the control panel but . . . it dose nothing ?

I couldn't get it to install. I know there is some way to take screenshots on the n800 as I have seen ThoughtFix do it. Anyone know how?

I installed the "Load-applet-run 0.4.3-2" http://downloads.maemo.org/product/load-applet-runn which implies it's for OS 2006 only, but works on OS 2007 too ;)

Then I had to got to the control menu to advise N800 to show icon in upper status bar. I did this by going to tools, control panel, personalistion, navigation, status bar and ticking the "load" box

Then the Load-applet with screen capture appeared in upper status bar ;)

when I click the "Click to install" arrow on that page, it tries to install but then says "Unable to install. Application package is incompatible with the current software."

All. I have found a screenshot app for the n800. The only thing it does is take a screenshot. It loads into the Extra folder and saves images into the Documents/Images folder. And it works :)

I'm using the load-applet 0.6.4-2 to show memory/cpu load and to take screenshots - it's working fine on my N800

Interesting.....
I installed the load applet + screenshot when I first got my N800 (after I flashed it with the OS upgrade), and it worked fine. A while ago I had to reflash my N800, and now the application manager refuses to install it, saying it's incompatible with the current software. But the OS is the same in both cases. Maybe the load applet has been reconfigured in the repository? (don't know enough about how that works)

I couldn't get the maemo repository version of load-applet-run to work on the N800 either, it kept saying it was incompatible.

However, the 2006 version on the author's home page installed without any problems, and I've now taken lots of screenshots! :-)
