OpenVPN push "redirect-gateway"
Hi,
I'm trying to redirect my default gateway of the phone via my openvpn server. But it's not working I always get: NOTE: unable to redirect default gateway -- Cannot read current default gateway from system Has anybody yet tried to configure a different gw via Openvpn? Thank's for your help. |
Re: OpenVPN push "redirect-gateway"
redirect-gateway should work when you're on wlan, but on cellular connection it doesn't work.
Issue is summarized pretty good in this thread: http://openvpn.net/archive/openvpn-u.../msg00028.html There is no default gateway address which openvpn would need. It's possible to hack around it but there isn't really a good solution. |
Re: OpenVPN push "redirect-gateway"
Hm.
So there is no "real" workaround just selfmade scripts. Will there be a solution in the future? |
Re: OpenVPN push "redirect-gateway"
maemo-update-resolvconf
is also not working it always fails with: script failed: external program fork failed |
Re: OpenVPN push "redirect-gateway"
I have the same problem using cellular connection. So, there is no solution to fix this ?

Re: OpenVPN push "redirect-gateway"
No answers yet, so OpenVPN don't work with cellular(3G) connection at all ?

Re: OpenVPN push "redirect-gateway"
bump.
I would love to have a proper solution myself. could a generic (wlan & 3g) working solution be included in the openvpn package? either build-in or via a sort of before/after connection script ? thanks, Geert |
