Re: Problem with rootsh
Try 'maemo' or 'rootme'. It's strange though, I don't think it asked me for password.

Re: Problem with rootsh
How did you download it? And did you actually install it vs. downloading the install file? Did you install it via extras in the app-manager?

Re: Problem with rootsh
Can you clarify whether it never worked or whether it stopped working?

Re: Problem with rootsh
ok then I was the problem:P, you only have to type sudo gainroots one's?

Re: Problem with rootsh
sudo gainroot should work too...
It might be that something has happened to your sudoers file. Possibly try uninstalling and re-installing, or if you're happy just using 'root' then feel free to just use that. |

Re: Problem with rootsh
I've enabled root access to check out some things, but as it has been more than 6 years since I've used linux extensively, I wish to disable it.
Uninstalling the rootsh did not suceed. Any suggestions on how to disable root access? |
Re: Problem with rootsh
I had to type "sudo gainroot" again to install using dpkg -i *.deb
It asked me for a password if I used sudo dpkg -i *.deb |
