Sorry, no idea... :-( It's worked perfectly on PR1.1, but now with fu**g jumping effect.. Why I don't know...

i did see this, and did a "find" with this to search for:

name_tag.textContent = "Me"

"Me"

and neither one found anything in the document like that. :/

i tried it in the js file and the notepad file.

i opened the js file with notepad and tried to search it that way there and then i also tried to copy/paste the entire info into a word doc and tried the search there.

OHHH i like the bubbles much better!

i see what you mean by the jumping. it wasnt as bad after i oc'd to 1.15ghz. was a bunch smoother then the 600mhz.

for some reason, my avatar is not showing anymore since i did the first change...

i have gone into "my information" and my picture is there, but it doesnt show int he threads for some reason.?!

I have the jumping with 600mhz too...
You are need to create the avatar PNG file (64x64px), with name avatar.png and putting this file to folder: /usr/share/rtcom-messaging-ui/html
I don't think, you can't add more smiles....

meh...i created an file 64x64pixel, named it avatar (it is a png file) and put it in the folder there, then rebooted device, but still doesnt show.
:/

did i do something wrong?

Hmmm, no.. You do right...
You need put the all 3 files from my ZIP + your avatar.png file to the: /usr/share/rtcom-messaging-ui/html and it's should work...

Try open the conversation 2-3 times (you don't need reboot)...

man, couple things here.

the price you pay for beauty! lol

-when listening to my mp3s on my bt headset, when i get an sms now, it cuts my music from the bt, and has to reconnect.

-sparatically, when recieving a call, the screen blinks rappidly

-the icon still isnt showing. :/ it is 64x64 pixels .png image, 2kb. ima try to re-input all 4 files to the folder and the reboot again.

-also, when you type "what are you doing?" it shows up as "?what are you doing" this happens for what i send and what i recieve from others. it seems to be an issue with the ?.! type of characters, because if you type "what are you doing" then it shows up as "what are you doing"

Try to put back the original file and test this again (music+SMS)...
it's very strange...

This mode created for right to left languages (hebrew), you need to play with HTML and CSS files for fixing this... (I will try to fix this for you, when I'll have time...)

But I don't know why you need the names in the bubbles, you can see the name of the contact in the status bar line...
And probably, you will see the bad jumping effect too, like I posted here...

thanks a lot I also wanted to ask you for small modification just changing the bubble colors to something darker that will fit with the amazing plastik black theme? it would be great because im not too good with .css editing it would help me a lot thanks.

updated the js-file with the scroll-fix which will prevent the conversation view starting from the top. now it will be down at the bottom of the conversation showing the latest messages. :)

Hi Everyone , I wanted to share couple of my Conversation mods, It is based on Niqbal's design , I hope he doesn't mind :o

Thanks to everyone who contributed in this awesome thread ,especially b666m and Niqbal and couple other people . I have managed to customize the conversation view based on infos in this thread and I don't have any coding experience , just did this for fun :D

The layout is based on Niqbal's conversation UI theme5
changelog:

64px avatars, equal margin left and right , 4 versions .

1.Original color and square shaped avatars and bubbles

There are a couple more designs that I'm working on them, I will post them up when finished :D

nice i love it... will this also work on IM conversations? coz i use IM conversation s more often than SMS:D
