They need help and support. But most realize that it is not their cases that will win the fight. |

Re: Problems with N900 USB port becoming broken / loose and resulting warranty & repair issues
I just got my n900. Manufactured in Korea, date = 51/2009. I can say that the microUSB connector is recessed inside, and it looks like a very nice entry point for foreign object debris. The insertion and extraction force required to plug the phone in is a bit high, and I can see the reasoning for taking the tabs on the top off.

The whole fake "Do not worry we will look after these customers" then complete bull$%it update to the care centers telling them to follow the same guidelines as before. They have decided that we customers are lying. They have no respect for us. And I am really pissed off. The only reason I have not replied to MarkS's comment on engadget is because in my current mood I know I would be unprofessional. I am waiting until I have the self control to make my point in a way that comes across in a powerful way. BUT Nokia needs to be called out on this in public. Loud and effectively. |

Hang on though HP. I am still betting it's not over yet.

But I am not prepared to throw away my money on this. This is my 5th N series device in 6 years N73 N95 N810 N85 N900 If this requires me to fight much more it will be my last. EDIT: And as I hinted, it is not the flaw that bothers me. It is the reaction to engadget. posting something to prevent the sh*t storm. But carry on as usual. This is not just lack of customer service it is an outright offence and insult to their customers. |
