Also i have check the forum and searched alot but havent really found a straight link on how to down load the app i need to watch videos on like youtube where do i go and does anyone have a step by step directions i could follow it would be greatly appreciated if someone helped me out thanks alot guys sorry for being such a noob

1) the screen thing sounds like a LCD defect. It may need servicing.
2) I doubt the youtube videos will work. The 770 cannot handle all video formats, including flash over version 6. |

If you look at the screen not directly is normal it has some 'sparkling' all over, I think it's due to some sort of protective layer or it's simply the sensitive layer. Many 770 owners complained against this issue. Well different is if this sparkling comes from your screen, i.e. some sort of pixelling defect. If you look straight at your screen with dark colours, you should not notice it. If you have a totally white screen and sees a light concentrical rainbow all over it... well, that's it! It's not a perfect crisp screen such as - for example - ipods.
Concerning youtube videos, I never tried to look at them via 770, but if they are Flash 7+ based, you have no way to look at them using 770. So, nothing more from my part than quoting texrat, sorry :( |
oh i see well i guess that means there nothing i can do about it then :(

Another quick question for you guys who have had problems with your screen what was the number you call for support on the 770 i couldnt find a number and two how much did they charge you to fix it and do you think it will cost the same even if my screen is not broken just not in focus. If anyone knows how to fix my problem please speak up!!!
thanks |

Yankee: Tell me if this sums it up: When you've got white on the screen and look at the pixels, some appear slightly tinted to blue, red, or yellow... or perhaps there's a rainbow (moire) effect?
If so, this is normal. You only really notice it on bright white, and you'll see the same in laptops (like this Dell D620 I'm typing this on right now) |
yeah mines like that to
|
well there no like actual noticeable colors. It's really hard to explain um the best way I could describe is when you are cleaning a screen with like something moist and right after you whip it down you get that blurry and sparkly. I mean it could be what your talking about im not sure though but my old handheld i had did not have that problem nor my cell phone. They were all really crisp but i guess thats the way touch screens are.

What you see is what you get.

Frankly, I was a bit disappointed with it having returned a sparkling clear Palm T|X in favor of the 770. That said, you have to take the bad with the good. The designers opted for the degraded screen in favor of high resolution--not a bad tradeoff. As time passes, however, this will improve. If it is any consolation, someone posted quite a while ago about disassembling (not for the faint of heart or weak of skill) their 770 and after removing the digitizer they were shocked to see a sharp and flawless display underneath. So, what you see is what you get and you cannot have your cake and eat it too! |
alright well thanks a lot guys i guess i just have to deal with it :(
