Why no social media widgets for n810?
 

Why we got no social media widgets for n810?
there are facebook twitter widgets on n97 , n900 etc. high end devices.

it seems doable to make such widgets for n810.
but why no developer did it yet??
i would absolutely do it but i got an important exam at the end of this year :(

please let me know why not?
im sure it can be done easily

There are some. For example, Maemo WordPy is designed for blogging. SharePy alllows multimedia uploads to Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, Youtube, and others. Friendscard is a Facebook client. Pidgin On Maemo supports IM. Mauku supports Twitter.

Unfortunately, many developers have moved on to the N900 so, unless you want to write a new app, I wouldn't expect much more for the N810.

I've found that just using the iphone.facebook.com URL works pretty good for Facebook.

Yeah. I feel like the old kid who's forgotten while the parents are fussing over the new baby. :(

Desktop widgets? Forget it. If nobody has built any up till now, I doubt they will start. I'd offer my services but I have never learned to program for my N810. I'd say your best bet would be to finish studying, ace the exam, and then see what you can come up with.
