... I developed this annoying habit of double-clicking on my desktop browser every time I find the font too small.

Seriously.

Happens at least twice a day. I sit in front of my desktop, browse the web, come across a page with small letters.... I used to press Ctrl and + before I got my N900. Now I double-click on the text and expect it to adjust to the window width. All because of the N900. Shame on you, Nokia! ;)

I hate it because I want to be able to close dialogs on my desktop computer by clicking outside of them. Ah well, I use Windows, so no hope there... :(

I hate it because when wiping my computer screen clean, I'm doing it carefully now to not touch an on-screen button while wiping. :D

I can't run it on my aging (but perfectly sized) X40 thinkpad :(

256 mb of ram, a integrated intel video chipset (open source drivers), 1024x760 and a 1.6ghz centrino.

The n900 is seriously more useful than my X40 running Ubuntu, my X40 is nearly regulated to display/input/storage


While writing this, I was reminded once again why I love Maemo, it's so open. http://wiki.maemo.org/Mer/Releases I may actually have a chance at getting it running. I'll give it a go.

Yeah the only reson she discovered farmville was me watching a demo of the N900 playing farmville.

as long as she doesnt decide to take the N900 to work with her, im sure i'll live.

Its so true, I actually found myself tapping my laptop screen trying to start an application.

This is all more mental as I already have been using touch-screen PCs for years and that NEVER happened before. I use the N900 so much more than those that its infecting my mindset.

What about running maemo SDK fullscreen? Then you could double click to increase the size of the font, right? (half-joking)

Anyways, continuing this "theme", I hate maemo 5 because now when I try to install apps on my arch linux box I type "apt-get install" instead of "pacman -S" like I am supposed to.

I hate Maemo because I always try to tilt my desktop screen and align things on my wall and table to a perfect horizontal or vertical.

I mean, you need a healthy population of trolls in any forum, but there comes a point when you just can't cope, and they overwhelm your group of survivors, and even whacking them with the guitar doesn't kill them fast enough...

What's sad is I'm sure I could waste a whole day watching "Left 4 Dead 2" demos and videos. Especially ones with plenty of guitar kabonging; I hear the sound of guitar hitting zombie troll skull in my sleep.

..because Eero managed to invent walkarounds for random reboots & reboots bricking device in 2 weeks. It feels really awkward to get service like this. Why can't maemo just say: "wait for next fw release" and delete threads about reboots etc?!??!?!

I hate maemo 5 because my n900 kept me from paying full attention to the training update in manual handling, health and safety and hand hygiene as I could stream the cricket scores from South Africa. :mad:

...because it's nearly a quarter to three in the morning and i still don't wanna stop surfing.

i will have to get a dedicated alarm clock so i can keep my n900 at a safe distance when i go to bed...
so i guess i specifically hate maemo 5 because it has an alarm clock :) (and an incredible browser...)
