Mxit N900 pidgin plugin
 

Hi there,
Is it possible for someone with a bit more knowledge than me to compile this pidgin plugin for the n900?

any help would be appreciated i have tried to do it myself but never got very far.

That protocol is included in pidgin 2.6.4, which is the version currently in extras-devel. Creating a new mxit account using it was impossible for me so I don't know if the rest of it works.

i have an existing account. i add the account details and it gets to the authorization screen. the location and lanuage drop downs are empty and the authorisation fails. if you keep trying the application closes with an internal error.

any idea how this can be fixed?

The country and language selections are there, they're just not displayed correctly. Best to file a bug report using the project's bug tracker, or mentioning it on the project forum in case they miss it.

Hi Spazzymoto, I wasn't able to download the code from http://devzone.mxit.com/trac/comp_l1nx - I get permission denied. Do you have a compiled version I could use? Thanks

oh sorry yes i had the same problem, i had to first go to devzone.mxit.com and register and login then i went to that url as was able to download it. there is nothing to compile, it is a python version of mxit made by someone during the mxit pc client competition. Trying to get in contact with the owner to see if he'll allow me to mod it a bit and put it in repo's, with app shortcuts etc.
