hey guys i had the same problem you need to purge the programme and check mydocs that all qtirreco folders are gone then apt_get it in x terminal test it out if it still isnt working make sure youve started lirc. hope this helps :)

Hi there, I'm trying to create a new controller for a PC/USB ir controller, it's a cheap model but very useful for me. But this model it is not on the list (even because it has no brand anymore, I bought it from dealextreme)...
Is there some way to capture the IR signal send by the IR controller? (*I had an palm years ago with a IR program with that funcionality)

not on the n900 itself but you can capture the signal on a pc with an IR receiver and transfer it to QtIrreco

but when i get closer to find it, it freeze or i get an error after downloading like...

theres too many paths like, abc tv samsung, lcd tv, samsung, samsuntv,televicion twice, televicion lcd,etc.
i think theres should be a search, too complicated, or they should narrow the options

And, I strongly suppose that these remotes are uploaded by individuals, not a company, that's why sometimes there is a mess (thomson and thompson, for instance; but I don't see samsuntv,televicion, televicion lcd at all).

Where this conf file should be saved for program to see it, search in this thread.

thank you for the link, and the samsuntv, televicion, televicion lcd, etc i found it when clicking in Download from DB, remote type, there.
theres too many options for samsung, and most of em, just freeze or dont give you what you really looking for
