Re: QtIrreco for N900
@Romanianusa - Do you get any error messages when starting lirc or qtirreco from the terminal?
If you look through a digital camera and send an IR signal into the lens from the n900 is it definitely sending a signal? (You should be able to see if through the digital viewfinder) |
Re: QtIrreco for N900

Probably even a mobile phone camera if you have an old one, or you know anyone that has a mobile. |

You says "Also, the files in the remote config files needed to be included in /etc/lircd.conf file and because I was transferring them in manually they weren't automatically being added." Maybe i have to move my files in REMOTES to /etc/lircd.conf? Is that what you mean? If so, how? |
Re: QtIrreco for N900
It would be nice to record Remote signals on the N900.... none of the commands work for me. LircDB was missing one config file but I manually imported it and that didn't work either.
Seems pretty neat anyways. If this could work with my cable box it would be amazing... :) |
Re: QtIrreco for N900
Yes, record signals would be really nice!
I have irreco and I can turn my tv ON and OFF. if I try with Vol+ the N900 go off :-) then go back on, back off again and back on...after that is fine :-) |

You just need to make sure you add the same of the remotes to the /etc/lircd.conf file. E.g. open up /etc/lircd.conf with a text editor and add the path to the file in there. My file says: Quote:
I wrote a quick post on using a text editor here, if you're not sure about that. |
Re: QtIrreco for N900
hmm, my stuff works fine with a single remote in lircd.conf.. as soon as i add an include line, nothing works.. app loads, just no IR signal anymore :(
