n900 slow transfer in mass storage
I was trying to copy a video over, and it was just really slow under 1mb/s is this normal?

Re: n900 slow transfer in mass storage
What OS are you using on your computer?
Windows likes to run your 2.0+ USB at 1.0 speeds often times. Usually just installing the newest drivers will help that. Or is there a possibility that you only have USB 1.0? |

Copying to memory, but other devices work fine through that port.

Re: n900 slow transfer in mass storage
I had a similar issue the other day with a Vista machine and found that the desktop in question was merrily virus scanning my N900 in the background. Once it had finished that things perked up quite a bit. Could that be something similar here?

Re: n900 slow transfer in mass storage
Data transfer is really slow if you have two or more operations running simultaneously. A virus scan is likely cause if you're not manually xfering multiple files simultaneously.

Re: n900 slow transfer in mass storage
Why is it that if you try and copy 2 things simultaneously the transfer rate drops to a ridiculously low rate?
(If you are doing 1 copy job I get around 13mb/s average) |
