because there has been no known launch date... but we are very close now, at least as far as I know. But still... no official date available...

yeap!:) well you answered my question 100% but i have one additional. how will it connect to the satelite? i mean, i am going to be charged with data traffic each time i use it? :)

It connects to the satellite via the N900's built in GPS. If you are concerned with data costs you can turn off network positioning which will turn off the assisted GPS (AGPS) which means lock on to the GPS will take longer. But it will still work.

before you dish out big $$ for sygic, make sure your device can get a lock with a-gps disabled. there's a thread around here reporting such problems, he11 i got it my self. if you're affected, you'll need to pay every time traffic is generated.

no this sw is only allowed to be sold from ovi store(only for N900). and nokia cant get the payment solution to work properly.

My cc was rejected because I couldn't provide a proper house number or extension. My house is in the US. It has an address and no other house number. I don't know what an extension is. I guess Sygic doesn't want people from the US buying their software.

NONE considering they gladly took my money and then switched off repositories and offered no support for my Nokia N900 anymore. :mad:

The repositories are back on. Haven't tested the Traffic Report module yet though, so don't know about that...

They don't respond to emails though. Great product, support SUCKS!

I think you already need Sygic installed first. The repository is the one that I upgraded to Sygic Mobile Maps 10 from v9 with.

As I said, I haven't tested the Traffic Info module.

Already have it installed and I have version 10.

Perhaps is there no further update available then.

I had installed it on my phone but recently flashed my phone.
After flashing i have been trying to install it. But Its not available via OVI store any more

Any idea how to install it again?

I upgraded the software to version 21.2011.38.1. it wiped out my apps.

I installed sygic 10 yesterday.

in catalogue, create

catalogue name sygic mobile maps

http://repository.sygic.com/maemo

fremantle

non-free

after you do this, select the location & navigation icon and sygic 10 should show up
