Re: MSN Messenger. 3 ways to get it.
OK has anyone out here tried "Pidgin protocol plugin for conversation and contacts".... I really want to give it a go but I'm terrified of using anything in "devel" (and testing) because of all the warnings on these threads. I'm not a Linux poweruser nor do I know how to reflash this bad boy if something goes wrong.
anyone try it? Is it stable? does it really connect to MSN, QQ, AIM, IRC, etc and show up in contacts/conversations.....? |
Re: MSN Messenger. 3 ways to get it.
That's what I'm using (with MSN - the "haze" plugin (it automatically installs this))... Haven't had any problems besides MSN disconnecting now and then, but that's no guarantee... ;)

HRZ.
In my oppinion this app you are talking about is at the moment the only way to go. At the moment just the best available. Contacts of MSN who havnt been online their email adresses appear instead of 'no name'. Fully integrated. The others do not have this. Go for it. |

Is there any way to block messages from people not on my contacts list though? Been getting spam messages and it is a bit annoying at times... |
