That "extra bit of speed" is 50 percent more (600 vs 412) let alone the totally different cpu architecture.

the user experience is not 50% faster..

the different cpu archetecture has no bearing on the usability either.

It makes me wish I had mod powers over my own thread. Then things would be different ;) Seriously though there's plenty of room for constructive debate, I just don't like these "lol mai iphone has moar apps than ur phone lulz" pissing matches.

i will try to explain to you what 'user experience' means in practise.

when i tap on my iponhe 3g emial- i tap on it instantly it brings up my mails, and i can instantly view them..when i do this on a 3gs same thing happens

when i open up my ipod/phone/browser/simple or medium drain app etc samething happens.

on the other hand when i open my gps - the iphone 3gs has a sensor that tells me which way i am going, when i open a draining game the 3gs plays it better, when i open the camera the 3gs has focus.

these are user experiences- based on practise..

not that it has a different cpu archeticture..

For daily use the 3GS wins for sure, but for tinkering and trying out unstable stuff the N900 is the winner.

Wait how do you know that? oh wait...

You do just read what others say about the phones and then copy that... :D

Oh to get back on track...
I too love my n900 and I don't find it to have many shortcommings that is too much of a biggie. Lack of MMS and CBR reader are the biggest and at least one of them is in extras-devel ;)

I believe 'iphone' is a special level of hell, quite apart from the usual seven... where little demons force you to use fart apps and poke you with stylii you can never use...

I think it can be safely said that in this thread OrangePox is trolling.

Bummer for the OP. No good review goes unpunished.

People you are way ahead of me. I never loved a device before. Please tell me about it. Is it similar to loving a wife? A girlfriend? A son? How is the bedroom experience?

Wake up: it is a device. If you feelings toward a device is more the "i like it very much" then a visit to a shrink is in order.
