Frak MMS. Will it support #* numbers? I am really happy I didn't preordered N900. In terms of "phone - mobile computer" it completely failed on both fronts.

Phone - not supporting *# means that as phone for pre-paid cards it useless since 100% of account management is done with those numbers (at least in Poland).
Mobile computer - lack of support for external input devices (lacking of proper Bluetooth profiles).

No Host/OTG USB mode. Ridiculous.

First and second thing can be solved by software. Third not.

BTW i've noticed since i got n900 my outgoing sms traffic decreased almost tenfold. I switched to IM mostly - looks like people are usually online and now i have a tool to see it always ;-)

yep same here.. the intergration means i use my skype im alot, sometimes not even realiseing i am using that instead of sms.. really want hotamil to be intergrated mind- i like pidgin but id rather have all my IMn and txt's in one place.

*# was fixed in the 52th week if I remember well (so may be released in next firmware)

as for the mobile computer, you've got a TV output, an hardware keyboard, you can manage the phone like you maange a standard debian distro, you can install another Os if you want, have a direct access to xterm, have software like vnc, openvpn, you can access to the phone via ssh, so I don't think that this part is fail. not even close. For sure things can be fixed, but it's great as it is now.

For sure OTG usb would have been great, but maybe with a remote bluetooth adapter it could do the trick

Funny, I have experienced the oposite. SMS as a convo, qwerty keyboard... Easy.

I used to ignore SMS or reply on IM when I got home.

volt you are obviously not used to decent touch screen text input then..using the keyboard its seriously annoyuing when u are used to an iphone.
