damn -

here the debug instruction:
pls download the deb again - put the newest version now online (already v0.3) and install it

start xterm with following command:
sudo /opt/menu-update/update.sh

you should see the updateprocess in the bash - pls send me the error

Also the package didn't install cleanly but that's maybe a problem in my box.

I updated to 0.4 successfully, but menu-update is still the same: no output when run from xterm, just a spinner when run from icon... sorry !

pls can you enter follow command:
ls -r /opt/*

and post oder mail me the output
