N800 Headphones Problem

Just got the N800 - I don't know if it is me, but I can only hear from the left side of the headphone. No stereo.. I was wondering if anyone had the same problem.. I connected another set of headphones and got the same problem.

Uh oh. Sounds like an exchange is in order. I don't have that issue, headphones work as expected.

BTW, Is your left earbud's cable much shorter than the right??

yes. the left cable is longer.

I experienced poor sound in the left side of my 770, so I'm not too surprised. Maybe it's a common component at fault.

Re: N800 Headphones Problem

the funny thing is that I returned a N800 because the headphones did not work and ultimately the system would not turn on.. I got this one and the headphones work fine but only for the left side.

Sorry you've had that experience. I *am* surprised by what you say now. The odds against 1 user getting 2 devices having that same problem have to be high. I hope third time's a charm. Maybe you should have in-store customer service check it before you leave.

Oh, and for systems not turning on: remove the battery, wait several seconds, replace the battery and try again.

Have you pushed the headphone jack all the way into the socket - it may need a firm push.
