Thanx to Diamorph for the idea of the yellow bar ;)

You can download the files HERE, includes original files also.
The background is as shown but without the yellow bar with "Property of biggzy" in.

Since I'm using the default blue theme, the background image (lockslider.png) goes in /usr/share/themes/alpha/backgrounds/

The other images (LockSliderTop.png, LockSliderThumbPortrait.png, LockSliderThumb.png, LockSliderRight.png, LockSliderLeft.png, LockSliderBottom.png) go in /usr/share/themes/alpha/images

Hope it becomes useful for some of you :D

What part? the yellow bar? i took the original yellow bar image from the blue theme files on my n900, then pasted it onto my slide to unlock screen then used nokia font to do the writing in PC program called Gimp, you also need WinSCP to access your 900s root files to be able to mod things easy. any probs just ask.

after i updated to PR.1.2 i reinstalled rootsh but it seems its not working with Winsco anymore... Winscp is showing"network error".can any one help me with this?

First of all I have to say that I love this thread. You helped me customize my n900 so much in ways I never thought I could. But now I have little problem and I don't know what is causing it. At first I made backup of every icon I changed but later I just didn't have the patience to do that and after a while I noticed this. Some of the backgrounds of buttons are missing. This is only in couple apps but it's still annoying. This is same with every theme.(tracker cfg + AutoDisconnect (can't really conf this program now) I hope I don't need to flash my n900 just for this if you have any idea what to do I would appreciate little help :) I already tried google + searching the forums with no luck if there is thread about this or something please gief link. http://ekih.wippiespace.com/Screensh...531-210155.png

If I had to take a guess at a fix, I'd say download and install the Marina theme. If you've already got it, uninstall then download it again. Reboot then download the file from the top of this page:

Unzip the file, rename it marina (no capital letter) and move it to usr\share\themes overwriting the original marina files. Reboot and see if that helps. If this doesn't work I'd say the icons you deleted were application specific and are therefore probably either in icons 48x48 or scalable.

EDIT: You might also want to try having a look and seeing if those applications have any compatibility issues wth PR1.2.

Nope still not working blah maybe I just need to reflash.. or anyone feeling like sharing default icons so I can try to find what is causing it with trial and error.

I will do requests if any of you want your name on the loading screen, name must be no more than 10 letters + 'Welcome', or you can have total of 17 letters of your choice.

Just PM me the info and i will PM you back once the work is done (may take upto 12 hours depending on PM time), but most cases will be done within a few hours :D

QueenBeecon as suggested above is one way, I prefer using the Desktop Command Execution Widget.

All the scripts you might need are available here:

Let me know if you need any help, as I've modified a few of the scripts slightly. As a starting point I'd recommend setting the frequency selection buttons to update ONLY when clicked.

I'm using the plain one at the moment, nice one! Do you know if there's any way of getting the loading indicator to flow smoothly from right to left then back again?

These little feet eliminate the rocking when I type on a desktop. They don't look pretty, then again i didn't buy the n900 because of its looks.

They do work, all I could say is i hope nokia drop this protruding camera idea.

Iv tried, theres 8 images to work with, 4 images with the bar going right and 4 with it going left so it scrolls right then left, if i made the 8 images just scroll right it will be smoother but then it wont scroll back and would jump from the far right to the left and look odd.

On the one I dl'd there were 2 sets of 8, should I only be using one?

One set was called indicator_update and the other was called indicator_update_white.

I think mine might be mental but it's all over the place, seems to go 1 5 2 4 3 if that makes any sense? I'm pretty ruined today but I'll have a proper mess about during the week. Thanks for the swift response Biggzy, lovin the systeminfowidget update!

The ones called indicator_update are the bootup loading images, not sure what the other 8 are but i did them anyway just incase lol

Once you put your bookmarks on your desktop the images to edit are in home/user/.bookmarks/home-thumbnails

just edit them to what you want and then replace.

117 page thread wow think its time for the wiki. I have a question, I have 4 different dialing options and would like to have 4 different dialers, is it possible? And how would i do it? 1 for the regular dialer from contacts 1 for SKYPE , 1 GOOGLETALK, and 1 for TOR. One dialer would be from the "Bling" theme 1 from the Matrix the other 2 are still undecided.

Just messing about... Used Marina as a base, took the media player, calendar widget, white notification banners and bookmark windows from Carbon, top-left menu button, top-right close button, back button and task switcher window buttons from R-Style Grey, applet close and configure buttons from D-Theme and progress bars from the default blue theme along with some custom icons.

If you want you can change your layout quiet easily

the layout are stored in /usr/share/keyboards

with a simple Hex editor and Hex UTF-8 converter like here
you can make the layout you want. it's easy to understand how it works!

i ve just remapped the fr_FR layout [ca interresse qui de taper des ç???]

Some more loading bars for you guys.

Unpack 1 of the archives and put the 8 png images in usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/hildon/ and overwrite the original images.

Sorry to butt in mate, they're in

/usr/share/themes/YOURTHEME/mediaplayer/


EDIT: If you mean the buttons for the mediaplayer widget it's

/usr/share/themes/YOURTHEME/images/
